Still, if you want a goalkeeper to be great at anything, then it would be shot stopping, a department that he's brilliant in.James wrote:Given is Overrated. He is a great shot stopper, that's all.

Hart is extremely over-rated. Very good, but not near the level people think.
So, has Nasri done anything for Man City yet since he signed?

Not really. Fabianski was a class shot stopper but he flapped at everything crossed in to the box.

I've watched a lot of both Given and Hart and I'd take Hart every day of the week.

I'd rather have someone that is good in every department rather than great in just 1 department.

I'm sure he will be better soon, but I'd still take Given at the moment, purely for his fantastic shot stopping. I'll give you the fact that Hart is better at other things, such as commanding the defence better. I think that's something that Given does lack. He never really seems to organise his defence as often as he should.Mal wrote:cheesy wrote:Reina is easily better than Hart, while I'd still take Given ahead of him as well.

There are loads of class shot stoppers out there.

Fuck me man, just seeing Silva, Nasri and Aguero in the same team makes me cream and cry at the same time.

Just because he's a better shot stopper doesn't mean he's a better 'Keeper.

There's not many games that City could lose. Liverpool away is one of the toughest fixtures.
Yeah, but they will slip up, every team eventually loses a game from a poor refereeing decision, a poor performance or just being outplayed.
They won't go undefeated.

Given seems better because he does loads of saves that look good on camera.

I wanna know wtf Operation Anfield Exercise is?
Also, good half I thought the match would be over after Kompany's giant head. Still reckon we can pull out a win

City dominating. 2 fluke goals, although Kompany's one looked like a fantastic goal on first viewing.
Fully expect us to lose still. 2-1 or 3-1.
Have to say, I've enjoyed watching Adam these last 2 weeks. His bursts forwards are quite good.

About time you got a bit of luck in front of goal though.Scott wrote:City dominating. 2 fluke goals, although Kompany's one looked like a fantastic goal on first viewing.

I would agree in some cases, but I guess it would all depend on how that keeper is in all departments, compared to the one who specialises in one area of his game.James wrote:cheesy wrote:

68% - Shay Given has saved 68% of shots on target faced in the last five seasons - below the Premier League average of 70%. Resurrection.
Great shot stopper, Given.

No. Hart doesn't have a massive weakness. Reina however...

He's actually had 6 assists? Jesus, didn't think he had done anything minus the Spurs game

It's a shame it won't mean anything when we lose.kyro7 wrote:About time you got a bit of luck in front of goal though.Scott wrote:City dominating. 2 fluke goals, although Kompany's one looked like a fantastic goal on first viewing.

Four of those assists were in one game though to be fair.Zzonked wrote:Sammys_Tekkers wrote:Hart is extremely over-rated. Very good, but not near the level people think.

He did have a pile of shit infront of him at Newcastle though.
