Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton is planning his own version of ‘I’m a Celebrity, I’ll smash your face in’ to the newest jungle participant Mark Wright after a Twitter war was sparked by Barton against the ‘Only Way is Essex’ TV show.
Barton, 29, has had some verbal jabs at the ITV2 programme of late and sparked a reaction from Wright, who is willing to meet the footballer in the ring with all proceeds going to charity.
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has duly stepped in to offer both men the appropriate arena to air their grievances and the bout could happen once the new star of ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of Here’ returns from his stint in the Australian outback.
24 year-old Wright has an amateur boxing background dating back to his childhood, whilst Barton has been in plenty of scrapes on and off the pitch and seems a willing participant if he gets manager Neil Warnock's consent.

I reckon this would be a good scrap but seeing Joey has said "only without headguards" won't happen.
