It's not that I dont want him, I just feel Suarez Bellamy and Gerrard are better. Maxi is hot and cold and forgetting his end to last season it was pretty forgettable.Kuled wrote:I don't understand why you guys don't want Maxi in your team. He's quality.

The most frustrating thing isn't the performance it's again the fact we're dropping so many points we shouldn't be Sunderland/Norwich/Man Utd/Stoke

I wish we'd stop playing Hendo on the wing.

Agreed.
Sad fact is, we played so much better in the last few months of last season. Mostly lethal in front of goal, had a solid defence... we spent shit loads of money in the summer and we lose it. Mind boggling.

My friend, your finish to the season was more down to the teams you were playing having already pretty much sealed safety in the league and were on early summer holidays

I don't understand why you don't play Kuyt up front with Suarez off him.

We did that last season. Sometimes Kuyt's frustrating when he's playing upfront alone, but yes, it's probably our best option at the moment.

I agree, they seemed to have a good partnership at times last season

Oh yeah, Kenny's faith in Carroll is clearly diminishing so I don't expect to see him around much longer. Pisses me off how he defends him so much and then benches him every game.

Carroll would have put all of Suarez's chances away.

If we had taken our chances against the teams we should of beaten. Man Utd,Norwich, Stoke,Sunderland guess where we'd be?

Last season the team knew each other well. What a lot of people are forgetting is that this season, we've got what, 5-6 new players in the first 11 squad? The team needs time to click into gear and gel.
We're starting to see it happen. We can talk 'til the cows come home (inb4dean) about what team we should have played last night, but at the end of the day, we played some great stuff. We had 22 shots on goal for fuck's sake. The team is still gelling and the big results will come, I have no doubt about it.

But it's not the performance it's the fact no one can finish.Scott wrote:Cadbury wrote:Agreed.

It's good to get our bad-luck games out the way though. When we finally get a game where everything goes our way, we'll see a drubbing.
But then again, it's Liverpool. We're heavily scripted.

Some off you make it out like Suarez is one of the worst finishers in the league. He just had a bad game in terms of finding the back of the net.
He scored a shit tonne of goals in Holland.

Football doesn't work like that, you don't fill out a quota as to when your team will be having 'bad luck' or how long it lastsScott wrote:It's good to get our bad-luck games out the way though. When we finally get a game where everything goes our way, we'll see a drubbing.

I don't understand what you mean by this, why should you have (And it's HAVE, not OF you fucking Welsh cunt, stop butchering our language) those teams? 1 of them is substantially better than you, and you couldn't score against them without cheating, and the rest played well and beat you on the day. You don't have a divine right to win these games, and it's pretty arrogant of you to speak about those clubs in such a way when you're not actually that much better.

My friend, I think you'll find that you're wrong.
We were cheated out of winning the Sunderland game. We beasted Stoke but came away with nothing after some shocking finishing, whilst they got a soft penalty. We beasted Norwich but came away with only 1 point after some more shocking finishing. We beasted Man United but came away with only one point after some fantasic goalkeeping which helped them scrape their way into escaping with a draw.

I'm afraid Norwich and Sunderland did not beat us on the day.
