So he can see up conceding yet another goal from a fucking set-piece. Who doesn't want to see that?

He should give a shit whether his team concede or not. Plus what if it hit the post and flew out? He'd take extra time to notice and then would be in a worse position to either break quickly or to get it away from danger.

It costs nothing to look back and pay attention to the game.

    He is fucking amazing today.

I don't see why it should matter, maybe he is superstitious, if he doesn't look it might not go in.

Look back and see the flying fish Szcezny on the floor in despair and a shit defence with their heads in hands? Wouldn't motivate me to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

Bollocks if he's playing well, he should care enough to stay alert at all times, makes it seem like he couldn't give a shit about this club.

He should be alert and ready to initiate a counter attack no matter what. Just shows how lazy he can be.

How many people look away from penalties because they are afraid the taker will miss? Several, it is no different, it isn't important either, what kind of counter attack can you get from a free-kick? If he catches it, the crowd cheers, he turns back, if he parries away for a corner, the same, if it goes in, it is silent, and he can do nothing. It is so unimportant.

Keeper parries it out, defender clears it, midfielder/attacker should be anticipating the clearance and get on the loose ball. Simples Arsenal v Sunderland | Match Thread | 1:30 Kick Off - Page 3 225495

If he's just standing there it could mean the difference in scoring from an attack that never happened because he wasn't ready for the counter-attack.

Like I said, when do you ever see someone from a free kick like that down the other sides? It gives him more than enough time to turn around, it isn't like he is fixated at looking ahead, again, no different from a penalty, you have more than enough time to look in the correct direction. He probably does, it is just so unimportant, it isn't focused on unless it goes in.

He's appalling. It speaks volumes when Rosicky and Ramsey have both outshone him in every game.

Steve Bruce is a clever man. He has obviously told his team to foul us on the edge of the box. It's the easiest way and best way to win possession back.

Occasionally Arshavin will turn on the style...most of the time he's utter wank.
