Re: 2011/12 FA Cup thread
Luton will be a tough game but our lads are on fire at the moment winning our last 6 consecutive away ties. Could have been easier but could certainly have been a lot worse.

Re: 2011/12 FA Cup thread
Actually, I think I'd prefer an away tie to a London Premiership/Championship club or Brighton, maybe even Portsmouth and Southampton.

Re: 2011/12 FA Cup thread
The lowest side that made the first round, Redbridge won tonight and are now in the 2nd round. Very impressive stuff there.Southern League Premier Division side Stourbridge pulled off an FA Cup upset over 10-man Plymouth to book their place in the second round for the first time in their history.
Second-half strikes from Paul McCone and Sean Evans sealed a famous replay win for the Glassboys over League Two's bottom side, who had Paul Bignot sent off before the break.
McCone's 52nd-minute header put the home side in front and Evans sealed Stourbridge's passage to a second-round home tie against Stevenage when he bundled home a 73rd-minute rebound.
Grimsby were also celebrating a giantkilling after the former Football League club - now in the Conference Premier - beat League Two Port Vale 1-0 after Serge Makofo's 59th-minute strike.
On a night of upsets, AFC Wimbledon were one of three League Two sides to overturn higher-ranked opposition with Luke Moore's 66th-minute goal giving them a 1-0 win over Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
Liam Dickinson volleyed a 55th-minute winner as Southend saw off Preston by the same score at Roots Hall, and second-half strikes from Garry Richards and Stefan Payne helped Gillingham hang on for a 3-2 home win over Bournemouth.
Conference Premier leaders Wrexham reached the second round with goals from Mathias Pogba and Danny Wright nudging them to a 2-1 win over Cambridge, who replied late through Michael Wylde.
And Conference Premier Tamworth booked a second-round trip to Gateshead after a dramatic 1-0 win over Hinckley, Kieron St Aimie bundling home a Liam McDonald corner in the dying moments.
Aldershot will travel to Sheffield Wednesday in round two after goals from Alex Rodman and Luke Guttridge gave them a 2-0 win over Maidenhead of the Conference South.
Ben Bradbury's extra-time winner ensured Isthmian Division One North side Redbridge - the lowest ranked side left in the competition - reached round two with a 2-1 replay win at Oxford City.
Lee Steele put the hosts ahead on 20 minutes but Nathan Gordon equalised on 70 and Bradbury netted the winner in the 102nd minute to book his side a trip to League Two side Crawley.

I almost forgot about all of the FA Cup games today, but no major shocks or anything like that.Conference side Wrexham have a chance to write another chapter in their giant-killing history after beating Brentford 1-0 to book a place in round three of the FA Cup.PA PhotosMatthew Tubbs (R) celebrates after scoring his second goal for Crawley
Wrexham, conquerors of Arsenal in 1992, triumphed away to their League One opponents thanks to a first-half strike from Jamie Tolley, who volleyed into the top corner from outside the penalty area.
Redbridge, the lowest ranked team left in the competition, were humbled 5-0 at Crawley, with Matt Tubbs, who had not scored in his previous five, hammering in a hat-trick.
League Two outfit Gillingham defied the odds to beat Leyton Orient 1-0, Curtis Weston notching the goal on the stroke of half-time.
Torquay flirted with a shock triumph before crumbling in the second half as they lost 3-2 against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. The minnows survived for an hour after Rene Howe gave them the lead, but Mark Ellis' own goal and then a brace from Ched Evans killed them off - although Danny Stevens managed an injury-time consolation.
League One high-flyers Charlton beat Carlisle 2-0 while Sheffield Wednesday edged to a 1-0 win over Aldershot.
Colchester were undone by a strike from Swindon's Matt Richie as they were beaten 1-0 at home.
Non-league Tamworth will be in the hat for the third round after Kyle Patterson's 90th-minute goal earned a 2-1 success at Gateshead.
Conference South outfit Chelmsford live to fight another day thanks to a 1-1 draw at home to Macclesfield. Max Cornhill gave the hosts the lead in the first half, but a goalkeeping error allowed Tony Diagne to equalise just past the hour.
Stourbridge's adventure ended with a 3-0 home defeat to Stevenage. The teams were level at half-time, but the league side's superior fitness told in the second period, and they triumphed through a brace from Chris Beardsley and one from Robin Shroot.
MK Dons beat Barnet 3-1 and Bradford sailed into the next stage with a 3-1 win over AFC Wimbledon, while Southend came from behind to draw 1-1 with Oldham and Dagenham and Walsall also drew 1-1.
Cheltenham conquered Luton 4-2 in a thriller at Kenilworth Road, goals from Luke Summerfield and Russell Penn making the difference for the league side after the score was tied at 2-2 on the hour.Salisbury drew 0-0 at home to Grimsby and Shrewsbury beat Rotherham 2-1.

Anyone here excited for Fleetwood v Blackpool? That game is surely going to be a huge local derby.Fleetwood Town booked a huge North West derby with local rivals Blackpool in the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town in their second round replay.GettyImagesJamie McGuire celebrates scoring the opening goal for Fleetwood Town
• FA Cup Third round draw
Fleetwood needed a last-minute penalty to force a replay and they took full advantage, in front of the ESPN cameras, with Jamie McGuire and Jamie Vardy hitting the target.
McGuire showed excellent predatory instincts to fire low through a crowded penalty area on 28 minutes to grab the vital opening goal.
Yeovil battled hard in the second half but the wind was taken from their sails when Bondz N'Gala was dismissed on 70 minutes. The numbers were evened up five minutes from time when Steve McNulty was shown a second yellow card and Gavin Williams had a superb chance to force extra time, but headed over from six yards.
And Williams was made to pay a heavy price as Jamie Vardy broke clear to score and send the Cod Army into raptures.
Oldham secured a high-profile tie against Liverpool after Chris Taylor's goal secured a 1-0 win against Southend in their second-round replay.
The Shrimpers paid the price for Bilel Mohsni's first-half red card as the home side went on to dominate with a composed display.
Salisbury came from 2-1 down in extra-time to win 3-2 at Grimsby at set up third-round tie at Sheffield United.
Daniel Fitchett put the visitors in front a minute into the second half, only for substitute Rob Duffy to equalise in the 90th minute and force an extra 30 minutes.
Duffy scored again two minutes into extra-time to put Grimsby 2-1 up, but the minnows would not lie down and Brian Dutton equalised in the 100th minute before Stuart Anderson's penalty three minutes later won it.Dagenham beat Walsall 3-2 on penalties after the match finished goalless. Chris Lewington made the crucial final save to keep out Lee Beevers' spot-kick and send Dagenham through to a home tie with Millwall.

That was a weak kick to give up the equalizer, I really wanted to be the winner and to think this guy just got into the Maccelsfield starting XI.
