    Some pundits are cunts.

I think the guys who are paid thousands by Sky to give their opinion know quite a bit more about football than some trolls on a forum.

They didnt say that Cox deserved a red card.

They said he handballed it. The keeper gave the goalie a red for handball, why shouldn't Cox get one for the same offence 2 seconds earlier?

I think we all know he handballed it, but handball isnt a red card unless you are blocking a goal scoring opportunity.

We dont have to justify it because anyone who has actually watched football in their life knows that handball isnt a red card unless blocking a goal scoring opportunity, which the keeper did. facepalm

Cox controlled it with his hand thus creating a goal scoring opportunity which is of similar seriousness to the defending team as preventing a goal is to the attacking team. If he hadn't have controlled it then the ball would have rolled off to the tight hand side of the box into a akward angle to shoo from

If Cox deliberately handballed it, most it should be is a Yellow card.

Just because it isn't in the book doesn't mean its right. Say a similar situation happens this Saturday I know for a fact you would be the first person ranting on here about how the Liverpool man deserves a red card or whatever. I was pointing out he fact the rules are wrong if one player gets sent off for the exact same offense that another got away with within less than 2 seconds between both of the handballs.

How isn't it preventing a goal is bad for the attacking team, scoring is just as bad for the defending team. How can you not understand that?

I do understand it, but the rules dont go that way. Blocking a goal scoring opp= red.

    Normal handball = yellow.

It wasn't a normal handball though, his handball created a goalscoring opportunity.

    Actually

    Normal handball = Free kick
    Unsporting Behaviour = Yellow
    DAOGSO = Red

Although I think we're being trolled here anyway.

CAOGSO should be a red also, how is it you are all against the idea of that?

Being illegally denied a goal and illegally scoring a goal are both of similar severity to either the attacking/defending team.

Doyle red-carded for elbow. This was probably his worst game for Ireland, he's been abysmal.
