Yes my friend, their are many reasons. Did you see Rooney's dreadful first touch that caused him to lash out at the defender? Dimitar Berbatov would have never lost the ball in the first place. His first touch simply doesn't let him down like that.

My friend, I believe so, however, administrators and moderators all deemed the punishment despicably harsh, and have reversed the ban, while apologising to me with immediate effect

What do England do for the first 2 games? There is no one else that can really play the role Rooney does for us. Basically we are playing a 4-2-3-1 right now, I think Capello should just bring Wilshere in for Rooney and have him play deeper so the trio in the centre is closer together. Worked against Wales when we had Parker - Lampard - Wilshere (I think it was)

Could play a 4-3-3 without Rooney.
Again, like we did against Wales. But Rooney was on the left that day.

My friend, Dimitar Berbatov has all the attributes to be a leading English footballer, with the touch of a god, unlike Rooney and Bent, and the Work-Rate, Stamina, and Finishing ability, of which Berbatov is second to none at.Mr Leiva wrote:Jordi wrote:Why couldn't Dimitar Berbatov be English?

My friend, I agree entirely. If Dimitar Berbatov was English, of course he would start for England. He would also be the star man, ahead of Rooney, the only reason he is not, at the moment, is because he is Bulgarian
I fail to see why Danny hates Dimitar Berbatov too, being a Man Utd fan

It doesn't matter that Rooney played on the left against Wales. If a team plays 3 in the middle then I always think the wingers need to be on opposites so they can cut inside and make use of the space between the oppositions midfield and defence. So Young on the left and Downing or Johnson on the right. Don't care who's up front as long as they score goals. I'd just play the Englishman that top scores in the PL (probably Darren Bent)

4-3-3 with the front 3 being Sturridge and Young on the wing, with Welbeck or Bent upfront.
I don't think Rooney should play in any friendlies up until the Euro's either. Might as well use them to experiment with the different forwards together to see what works best ready for the group games.

Agreed with the last bit. If Capello plays Rooney against Spain or (probably reschedule the Holland friendly) then

Agreed, keep him far far away from England.

Barry is way better than Gerrard in the deep lying role. I wouldn't have Gerrard anywhere near the team.

I thought I'd include him to please some Liverpool fans, ideally I'd play Carrick, wouldn't want Barry anywhere near the team though.James wrote:Steadman wrote:Hart

Dimitar Berbatov could fill that role easily with his fantastic vision and passing skills.
If only he was English.

Barry got himself a bad name from the last World Cup. He can't hold the midfield on his own, neither could Carrick. With someone alongside either one of them they'll do a pretty good job. I'd go for Barry simply because he has more experience and is more of a leader which we'll probably need if we are going to be playing a relatively young team.

Every non-biased Englishman woudl dream of having a player like Dimitar Berbatov play for the team, afterall, England currently have amateur strikers such as Bent, Carroll, Crouch to call upon in times of adversity. If Dimitar Berbatov was English, England would be raving over a fantastic strike partnership of Berbatov and Rooney. No other country in the world would have a striking pair as fearsome as that.

Re: Rooney misses Euro 2012 group games?
Even before the World Cup James. He started to go downhill in his later Villa days. Carrick would be better suited as he can effectively do his defensive duties and still remain calm on the ball while going forward. We really lack a true defensive midfielder though, too bad Hargreaves has his problems.James wrote:Steadman wrote:
