I doubt you'll get him unless you raise some funds, I think his price is at least £40 million.

Can you still recall players that are loaned out then sell them?

to whom?
Hope that won't become reality, his contract situation is reminding me a bit of the Nasri case I think he'll sign a new one though.
I had two offers, one from Real Madrid for £42 million, and one from Barcelona for £28.5 million, I rejected them both, and then a few days later I got a message from the board telling me thay sold him to Barcelona for £28.5 million.
You rejected £42M when he put in a transfer request? Madness...

I wanted to see if I could keep him, and then he could possibly change his mind. I was wrong

I see, out of curiousity how is the single player part of fifa 12? I wasn't impressed by the Demo, but if the career modes are good...

It's pretty much the same as the demo I think, I haven't played it online yet though, so I don't know what it's like. I'm impressed with most of CM, especially the scouting and youth system, but

you should be more grateful to Almunia he gave six years of solid service having to put up with fragile defence after fragile defence, sure he is quite crap but the whole of your defence and Arsene wenger can take alot of the blame for Arsenals lack of success.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
You can recall players from loan this year. I haven't done it but check it out, and Joe Cole is valued at 15 million, and it costs 5 million to recall him from Lille.
Hazard's valuation on my game was 56 million.
It will be interesting to see whether or not when a player wants to be transferred like RVP above, if you can ever convince them to stay. It should be a rarity, but should be possible.
Would you guys still love RVP if he left for City? You guys hate Nasri, but the situations are similar.

I won't hate van Persie if he joined City. I doubt he will (although the same was said about Nasri ), but van Persie isn't Nasri. He has served the club for years and always tried his best, in my opinion, one of the best strikers in the world, he deserves trophies, so I wouldn't blame him, nor would I lose my respect for him.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
So the only difference in the situations would be that RVP has been there and played for Arsenal longer than Nasri?
If RVP is world class, which I agree I like him, and deserves trophies then certainly the same should apply for Nasri?
Would like to see you guys for once tell City to suck it.

The difference with the Nasri situation is that Nasri is one of those spoilt children of the football world, no loyalty, in it for the money and a lack of respect. van Persie is the complete opposite, if he wanted a move away, I wouldn't deny it. He deserves a lot better than what he is currently getting. He's stuck around when he has had the chance to move to other teams in the past.

"Samir is a student of football – he lives for the game. He loves training and watches game after game on TV. He uses things he has seen to help correct mistakes in his own game. When you genuinely love football this is what makes the difference."
Nasri wanted to win things. He went to a club that offered him huge wages and have a good chance of winning things. Doesn't make him spoilt.

I'm not denying he went for trophies, but I don't think that was his main motivation, if it was, wouldn't Man U have been a better choice? It was mainly the manner in which he left and the way he treated the club.

Man City at the time look like the better choice to win trophies. Aguero, Dzeko and Silva
