Doubt Barca would want him him either. So that rules out La Liga. which leaves our league as the only realistic option, unless Rooney wanted to play in the Seri A or the Bundesliga.
why would he play in another club in england? he still would get major stick at any other english club. Italy have a rule of 1 foreigner per Season and that means there is only the bundesliga left. And the only "realistic" move would be bayern..And they don't need him because they have too many strikers (Olic Muller Klose Gomez)

How did Inter peterkiss their way around that rule this year?

Why does that rule out La Liga? In fact, I seem to recall a certain Spanish team lost two David's this summer and might be keen on bringing in some new attacking talent.

Valencia wouldn't be able to afford him. Only clubs that are willing to spend silly money on players will be interested.

I dunno. The Rooney market is deflationary at the moment. Depends on how much more deflation occurs between now and transfer time.

They won't sell him for anything short of 40M that's for sure.

Ibra will sign a deal with AC Milan after his loan deal is up, complicated stuff but it's true.

Plus Chelsea won't get him. Our big spending days are over.

Was gonna say what you edited. Loads of clubs say they aren't interested, until the price goes down and bam, they're in for the kill.

Madrid also said not in January, nothing said about the summer though.

Don't know, if we sold Rooney for 40-50 million the Glazers would keep it and not put it towards the club I reckon.

As usual. And we'd be none the wiser about it. Same with Ronaldo, how much did Fergie really get of that £80m?

Rooney's gonna go- simple as. Edwin, Neville, Scholes and Giggs will retire within 3 seasons (if not 2). We're almost fucked Neutral

    They'll kiss and make up.

Like Kyro said. Fergus hasn't got long. He won't bother with building a new team.

I'd say they'll just stay together, Ferguson will go at the end of the season and leave the new manager to deal with Rooney.

Once he goes Rooney signs a new contract.

Or it will blow over in a couple of weeks after Ferguson goes grovelling to Rooney and they make up a bullshit story to feed the press that Ferguson gave Rooney the famous "hairdryer treatment" and Rooney realised it was in his best interests to follow what the wise old drunk says.

Cue masses of stories of how the amazing ferguson got Rooney's career back on track.

Could be alot of nonsense, but food for thought nonetheless. think

I always thought of Rooney as a fighter, but the first time he has been challenged in a Utd shirt to prove his worth, he has behaved like a child. Fergie rightfully dropped Rooney, just like he dropped Berba last season because he played like a sack of shit. Fergie's tried to protect him by coming out with this ankle-injury story so that he can have extra time to sort his off-field problems and get his head right. For him to come out and contradict the manager, even after playing like shit for Utd & England, was a stupid thing to do. What did he gain by making that comment?

It might be a bad move to let him leave in January, he still is a top player. But if he's really acting like this and picking fights with the boss then fuck him. Fergie's built an empire at United, bigger players have left before and will leave in the future. If Rooney stays and signs a new contract, I'm all for it. But, if Rooney wants out, let him go...
