He's got about 6/7 left of his england career probably

He probably won't get England's record tbh. He needs about 2 more seasons like his one in 2009, scored about 10 goals for England that year.

He'll probably get 30-50 more caps at least, and he's in his prime now. Not saying he'll get it for certain, but he might.

He'll have more chance if he takes over penalties after Lampard/Gerrard.

They'll probably retire soon.

Would Rooney really deserve it?? Scores a lot of goals against poor teams and apart from Euro 2004 hasn't shown up at the big tournaments/matches.

What do you mean would he deserve it? If he scores the goals then he scores the goals, if he doesn't he doesn't it's as simple as that. Just because you score the most goals it doesn't brand you as the best player, so he could be the highest goalscorer whilst someone who did show up for the big tournaments can be described as the best player.

Yeh suppose that is correct but would you not want to get the record like Pele doing it while winning 3 world cups than vs 3rd world countries like azerbaijan and wales
