Post by Guest Wed Sep 14, 2011 8:28 am

Best post i have seen in a while...

Something which I though would never happen to me occured this evening at Edgar Street - I did not care one little bit about anything that happened on the pitch tonight.

I arrived a few minutes before kick off sat down in my usual seat and felt absolutely deflated from the start. They were so so average but cut through the defence from the start.

JP used his tactical nous to swap a very effective Barky on the left with Colbeck to render them both useless - I did not care as I knew it would make no difference.

The referee was useless - didn't bother me as it would have no difference to the final result - we were going to lose.

Every long ball, instead of me getting irate I just slumped back in my seat.

I sat there and didn't care about a team that I've supported for many years. I've had a season ticket for seasons but so glad that I made it a half one as I won't be going again until JP is removed from his position. Why should I?

I never ever thought that I couldn't care so little for HUFC. I was one of the 26 that travelled to Dover for the FA cup replay in the Conference years on a Tuesday night because I really wanted to, and cared, but at the moment I won't bother with the 10 minute drive to Edgar Street this Saturday.

JP simply is not intelligent enough for this job, and the sooner DK realises that he cannot treat the club like any other business the better.

I hope so, we were absolutely shocking and so so predictable. Hoofball all night up to Barnett, but Swindon were quicker to the second ball all night. Got Bradford at home on Saturday and we need to pick it up majorly. Swindon I think could very well be at the top end of the table by the end of the year IMO though. I got to write my column for the programme for that game, was going to write it tonight but can't be bothered, shall write it in the morning and what the hell can I say to be positive after those two games?!

Very lucky, but the last two games have proven that money is not everything and we didn't spend it wisely enough in the summer to get good enough squad players.

There has to be something positive after those games. Your whole team can't have done nothing for two games?

Swindon were always going to be at the top. I don't see us even making the play-offs at this rate. It's draw after draw. We won tonight. It was always going to be slow. Buckle brought in 14 players and most of them start. So to get the chemistry going. I'd like to see us make the play-offs. I'm resigned to the fact we will be still in this league next year. At least we can play Bury next season npower Football League 2011/2012 - Page 25 279869

Their chemistry would be fucked. We bought a new first eleven this summer and look at us. They need to gel. Every team get'sbad results every now and again.

This isn't Ultimate Team, if they bought 4 more quality players to boost the squad they would rip the arsehole out of the league Laughing

Team chemistry is a real thing npower Football League 2011/2012 - Page 25 58503 It isn't FIFA. You can't expect to sign more players and them play like they've played together for months.

No fucking shit? With their money they can buy players that will take the piss regardless of how well they work together, Peterborough did it in League 2 and when they gelled near enough the same team carried them up to the Championship.

I'll mention the effort they put in, and how unlucky the 1st Swindon goal was (offside from where I was standing) and I thought of a way to open it - 'So the last couple of games haven't gone the way we planned, BUT there is somewhat of an injury crisis and it's only September!' Laughing

We got lucky last year with how well the team gelled so quickly as that was the first year, honestly even if we don't rip up this league I'm more than happy with one spot above the relegation zone. I've waited for god knows how long to see Crawley in the football league, and now it's happened. I just think we need a few back-up players in a few postions, RB, CB, LB and possibly RM and LM. We've loaned a few players recently and John Paul Pittman returned last night to a standing ovation What a Face (ok all but the west stand were standing anyway but still npower Football League 2011/2012 - Page 25 279869)

On the chemistry thing; we bought almost a new team, Murty, Jaidi, Harding, Hammond, and Lambert, and Connolly, off the top of my head in the summer, and Otsemobor, Fonte, Barnard, Seaborne and others in January.

It took us about 12 games to get onto 0 points. Neutral

We bought 14 new players this season. I think only one of the startiing XI played for us last season. We have a squad more than capable of beating teams on paper. We haven't gelled. It does take time. Occasionaly you will pull out some good games e.g. Crawley have done excellent but had two off games. We beat Watfrod, all be it on penalties, but we held them out.
