Don't they only have Anichebe and Saha left now?

Re: npower Football League 2011/2012
I personally felt that Beckford was doing OK for Everton.
But...maybe he wasn't getting on with the staff...I doubt he was getting too much at Everton...probably £20k p/w....and maybe no one else in the Premier League was willing to buy him, and pay those wages.

Yeah and that loanee who is a striker, can't pronounce or spell his name.
So I can't see why they'd want to sell Beckford in all honesty.

Leicester were desperate for a striker, wouldn't surprise me if they're paying him in excess of £30k a week.

With players like Gallagher on the bench, can't imagine how they'd be desperate.

Waghorn ain't good enough, neither is Gallagher, for their ambitions.

That is why I'm saying he obviously left for more money, you name me something at Leicester that would deter you from Everton and join Leicester?

I reckon KP'll get bored soon, Leicester are just an advertising vehicle atm.

Chill your beans,He said he would go if Moyes told him too,Moyes obviously didn't want to keep him.Why shouldn't he come Leicester? We've got ambition as we're proving in the market.

Gallagher is regarded as a winger he is hopeless up front.

Re: npower Football League 2011/2012
When does the loan window open and how many players are we allowed to take from other teams?
We need another striker as Rooney is the only one we have. Wood has yet to extend his loan whilst Zigic and King are injured.

Turns out all the reports were wrong. The figure was a damnside closer to £2.5m than £7.5m. Leicester got a 17.5% sell on clause too.

Soon I think. I also believe you can only have a certain amount of loanees in the squad and then can only field even less at one time. Risky.bcfcben wrote:When does the loan window open and how many players are we allowed to take from other teams?

Think you can have 5 loans in a matchday squad, think Cardiff had about 7 at one point last season

Re: npower Football League 2011/2012
Yeah I remember you can only start with like three and have some on the bench. Not sure on the exact regulations. It is risky for Birmingham if they go out and get a load of loans. It is going to be a tough season for them. Hoping the reinvest the Dann and Jerome money in January on some decent players so they go back up. Always enjoyed watching them play. Not so much now because the ones I enjoyed of legged it
I'm a little disappointed of not brining in any deadline day deals. 14 signings is more than enough over the summer but I like the whole "who is coming?", "is anyone coming?", "*massive name for league two* linked to Bristol Rovers", "*Massive name* signs for Bristol Rovers", then I jizz everywhere .

Steve McClaren set to quit over lack of ambition shown from board in trying to bring in new players.

Even though I love it when managers who have massive hype fuck up, I expected him to do well.
Brought in some good signings, added to your already good squad.

It's not like they spent nothing though, he knew exactly what he was getting himself in for when he signed.

Re: npower Football League 2011/2012
We haven't spent hardly anything. A club our size should be bringing in the type of players West Ham and Leicester have done if we're serious about promotion. We've spent £1.4m on a striker that has scored about 15 career goals, and 600k on a past it midfielder that looks like Jesus. Then we've got George Boateng, the worst pensioner to ever play football, the worlds fattest footballer in Andy Reid, and Derbyshire who's got a shit name. It's not McClaren that needs to go, it's the board. Billy Davies said the exact same things McClaren has and was sacked for it. Looks like Shhteve will walk before he's pushed out, I don't blame him. Our squad is alot worse than last year too. We've lost 9 players including some that have played key parts in our last 2 seasons; Earnshaw, Tyson, McKenna, Adebola etc. We won't finish anywhere near the Top 6, looks like a relegation battle for us. Good job I've started supporting Manchester instead. Might try selling my season ticket too if I can find some mug willing to buy it.
