Should they be moved to a date further along the line or do you agree with the timing?

International Break.
What are peoples thoughts on the Int. Break only two weeks ( a week for some leagues) into the season?
Should they be moved to a date further along the line or do you agree with the timing?

International football is crap. If England stopped playing I would not give a shit. The farce that surrounds it is embarrassing enough.

Re: International Break.
Nothing wrong with the timing of this one.
The only timing problem is the friendly date set for midweek before the first Premier League game. But even then, that doesn't affect the other big leagues.

I don't mind International Football, or breaks, but 3 weeks into the season, I know it doesn't revolve around the BPL, but most good Leagues start around the same time, wait a while.

Gives players a chance to rest and recover from injury, and allows teams to assess their season and buy some players.

Thats what Im saying, SerieA hasnt even started, La Liga just the weekend gone and players are already leaving their teams and training routines for international games, I suppose its not bad when its a Euro qualifier but friendlies really piss me off.

Re: International Break.
International teams would NEVER gel if there where no friendlies, England don't take friendlies importantly....and look where that has got them.

I am excited that maybe San Marino could possibly score their first goal since October 11, 2008. I feel they are overdue for a goal here even though they are playing the Netherlands and Sweden during this break period.

I don't know, I guess I'll be watching a few games. Nothing wrong with international friendlies.

England is crap, that's why their people don't look forward to international football.

Re: International Break.
I hate that the int'l break is coming right now and in general I think they are shit, especially when players run off for friendlies and shit.
Having said that, I love the international game. Can't get enough of the World Cup, I like Euro, etc.
Can't quite understand why the Scousers don't care for England?

Yeah not sure if cereal. I'm not a scouser so I was hoping a scouser would answer the question.

Pretty annoying. Would rather have a weekend of championship/premier league football instead of a shitty international.

Re: International Break.
Its all right, UEFA/Fifa shouldnt have to pay attention to when a league starts. Some are more than half way done some are 8 weeks in and some haven't even begun yet (Italian ???)
I don't care much for the friendly breaks but i always enjoy the qualification matches, on Tuesday we play Norway. Also the break is good for getting the last transfers fixed, should have 3 NT players getting new teams at the very least

Being a Tottenham fan with our injuries I don't mind this one. It's qualifiers as well so it has meaning unlike the friendlies right at the start of the season.

Re: International Break.
The only good thing about this break is that it gives our squad time to recover from injuries (we have a few out) and helps give the entire team a rest before our Europa/Championship campaigns.
International breaks are shit in general though, no Blues football till my birthday
