International Break thread Empty International Break thread

    Post by Weather130 Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:25 am

I know many games will get their own thread but I thought I would create a general thread for talk not worth of a thread of its own. If you want to talk about a game that probably does not have much broad interest or anything related to this break. I will also make a table for the various "cross confederation" friendlies to determine which confederation will have the best break.
    25/03 Cross confederation friendlies

    Montenegro 1 Uzbekistan 0
    Estonia 2 Uruguay 0
    Korea Republic 4 Honduras 0
China PR 1 New Zealand 1
    Jamaica 0 Venezuela 2
    26/03
    Panama 2 Bolivia 0
    Portugal 1 Chile 1
    Mexico 3 Paraguay 1
    USA 1 Argentina 1
Costa Rica 2 China PR 2
    27/03
    Scotland 0 Brazil 2
    28/03
    Guatemala 1 Bolivia 1
    29/03
    Oman 2 Tunisia 1
    Belarus 0 Canada 1
    China PR 3 Honduras 0
Republic of Ireland 2 Uruguay 3
    USA 0 Paraguay 1
    Qatar 1 Russia 1
    England 1 Ghana 1
    Germany 1 Australia 2
    Mexico 1 Venezuela 1

    GP W D L GD PTS
    CONMEBOL 11 4-4-3 0 16 pts
    AFC 8 4-3-1 +8 15 pts
    CONCACAF 11 3-4-4 -1 13 pts
    UEFA 9 2-3-4 0 9 pts
    OFC 1 0-1-0 0 1 pt
    CAF 2 0-1-1 -1 1 pt

South Africa v Egypt - African Cup Qualifier

Bottom of the group, Egypt, face top of the group, South Africa. Three points for Egypt will bring them back in the contest. But the football in Egypt has been suspended for almost 2 months now due to the revolution. Egypt will have to rely on their abroad players (Zidan, Elmo, and Bilal).

You never know....some of the local players probably got some shooting practice whilst the revolution was going Blow up his ass

I guess some really strange things happen in international friendlies. I have no idea how Estonia would beat Uruguay in a real game.

I was looking at Sky Sports score centre and saw Montenegro had played yesterday, but then it also had them down as playing Jamaica at midnight? Surely they can't play twice in 2 days?

Maybe one of the games was an U-21s match?

Could get ugly... not quite 13-0 (San Marino) but still ugly. 6-0 sounds like a good final score here.

A lot more of these multi confederation friendlies going on today and finally some African nations are getting in on the action. Whatever confederation finishes on top after today will most likely being the big winner from all of this.

Well this month's worth of international friendlies are now over and CONMEBOL stole the title for best confederation here right at the death. To be fair CAF and OFC had no chance at winning since they did not have enough games scheduled to compete.
