Never done an NVQ, but did BTEC sport for the past two years. Definitely prefer the coursework to an exam.

I am getting my GCSE's but as a member of the Playmaker forum, I couldn't really give a shit seen as I am on here more than I do schoolwork. I don't like Algebra so I'm expecting a U in Maths (already have guarenteed C somehow) Should get decent results but I just don't wanna see my mums face if theres a bit fat U on my paper Laughing

Lol, my college wanted at least 7 A*-C grades. To take a subject at A Level you had to get at least a B in it (some of the subjects that hadn't been taught at a lower level were exceptions obviously.....but usually these were less desirable subjects when it comes to Universities preferences.) e.g Law, Sociology, Film/Media studies.......

I got A in Maths, BB in English, and BB in Science....but could not do Maths or Science at A Level because my grade average was too low. I would've gone to some of the other nearby colleges, but all of them had the same standard. I guess other parts of England have a lot lower standards.

Tbh I didn't expect colleges to be so retarded, and just didn't bother with subjects I didn't care about (scratch that, I didn't bother with any, I was just good enough to get good grades in most).

*PS* don't be afraid to do BTEC instead of A Level. If you know what you want to do as a job or at Uni, then it's arguably a better choice, as you can focus on one subject, it's probably a lot easier to do than A Levels, and it's the equivalent of 2/3 A Levels (depending on the course and whether you do extra assignments etc).

No, you're just the only person who did crap at school who's honest about it. Most people don't boast about things they're not proud of.

I hope you all pass and then go and get pissed at either a big house party or a special GCSE party at a club in town and take advantage of moping girls that think it's the end of the world for getting a D in Biology.

    Pretty surprised about that...

And no, I got 5 C's in the 'important' shit like Maths, English, Business, Science... Everything else I got D's in, except Spanish which I got an amazing F. silent

Although I was pretty lazy... I did barely any coursework for any of my subjects and took the highest paper available which is why I managed to get C's in Maths, English etc GCSE Results - Page 2 232912

I got mine. Passed everything, but got all C's and Passes, except for Science which I got an A.

Could have done better in RE and English, but oh well.
