So much for the excuse that the board was the reason for their results. They deserve to be 1-0 down

Yep yep looks like they're on track. Don't know why the majority of votes have gone for Liverpool, haven't you people seen the way they've been playing? It's nothing to do with the owners19Jones19v wrote:Voted for an Everton win

Fuck off. Only media retards were using that as an excuse so Uncle Woy wouldn't get any blame. Every Liverpool fan knows what the problem is.

Re: Merseyside Derby
Everton completely outplayed Liverpool in the first half. Liverpool need some rhythm and insperation in the second half to get back into this.

Not bothered about the Europa League at the moment mate, more focused on us staying in the PL.

Gerrard needs to be alongside Meireles in midfield, N'gog with Torres up top and Babel on the wing.Scouser_Dave wrote:The-Reporter wrote:Aww he's annoyed.Scouser_Dave wrote:The-Reporter wrote:What an absolute amazing ball from Gerrard that was.

I'm beginning to doubt Roy. Almost want us to lose so that the owners decide that Roy is simply not good enough.
No, that's crazy talk. I want us to win.

Nah, Roy's preference will be to stick Kyrgiakos up front and punt it up to him.

Re: Merseyside Derby
Torres is really stranded upfront......and Gerrard looks like he's having to cover for Mascherano and Alonso because Miereles and Lucas just aren't good/strong enough......and Liverpool can't be doing with this as they need Gerrard to have some attacking freedom!.......To an extent it means Cole has to chip in too much in midfield too.
-Better centre halves (and probably better left back) are needed
-One holding midfielder who can deal with big and strong attacking players and get stuck in (not Poulsen), and one who can control the midfield and pick up passes is needed.
So that's 3-4 players...and I think the Liverpool side will be transformed. Liverpool's attack isn't doing great either but those additional top quality players in defence/midfield would give the attack freedom and make it much stronger without even signing anyone (in attack).

Re: Merseyside Derby
He'll just wait for Zamora to be all healed up and sign him possibly in January for that job and alongside that hopefully sign Etherington, Whitehead and lure Danny Murphy back to the clubJamie wrote:The-Reporter wrote:Gerrard needs to be alongside Meireles in midfield, N'gog with Torres up top and Babel on the wing.Scouser_Dave wrote:The-Reporter wrote:Aww he's annoyed.Scouser_Dave wrote:The-Reporter wrote:What an absolute amazing ball from Gerrard that was.

The problem is far more to do with tactics than personnel, imo.

Re: Merseyside Derby
Our attack is fine, could use some backup and a left/right winger but Roy just needs to play our players in their proper positions. Cole is not a left midfielder, otherwise I pretty much agree with you

If I was Roy I'd take off Mereiles and bring Babel on.
Then play like this
But Roy's not brave enough.
Then play like this
Maxi Lucas Gerrard Babel
Cole
Torres

Re: Merseyside Derby
You don't have one player in midfield who turns and runs with the ball. Look at Arsenal - Fabregas, Ramsey, Rosicky, Wilshere, Nasri... full of them.Kaka11|LFC wrote:Our attack is fine, could use some backup and a left/right winger but Roy just needs to play our players in their proper positions.
