I agree the attack is fine and you should be able to do well with it, but you're not because of the defence.

Cole is not a left midfielder, otherwise I pretty much agree with you

He's not, but then again other right footed players manage and he's got experience on the left.

Jamie wrote:The problem is far more to do with tactics than personnel, imo.

Without the right personnel you can't always play the ideal tactics. You can't seriously look at this Liverpool team and think it should be doing very well......

Liverpool still basically playing seven men behind the ball when they're attacking. It's like they have bungie ropes on their back so they can't get too far forward Neutral

Only Gerrard is playing with real determination.

Cole should link midfield with Torres up more often.

Roy Hodgson is one of the least attack minded managers I've ever seen.

Arsenal's result at Anfield is starting to seem like a disaster. Neutral

You call that orchestrating? Lucas has been making passes backward and sideways, Meireles hasn't done much better.

They need Babel on, Lucas off and Stevie back at CM with Meireles covering.

That's why I put apostrophe's either side of the word orchestrating because they're trying to orchestrate but not actually doing anything. Neutral
