You beat a team that lacked match fitness and quality team work.

Next you get to play and beat a team of reserves.

I only watched the second half and he spilled to ball at least 3 times. That's worrying, a better team could've pounced on that opportunity.

De Gea really has his problems for long shots, dodgy at the cross as well where Defoe hit the post, doesn't look very confident yet, still he's a good talent.

Great game, cant complain but I think the scoreline is a little harsh, we at least matched united until they scored and after that we just fell apart, think redknapp leaving us with 1 cm on the pitch in an unfit slow huddlestone was a poor decision as well, thought we played well, livermore played excellent, VdV tried too hard to test de gea but was good otherwise, Kaboul was immense until we turned shit as well, if modric gets sorted and we being in diarra, adebayor and someone else we'll be fine this year

Was fine tonight. Yeah, he spilled one or 2 shots, and didn't collect a cross, first half he didn't put a foot wrong. What a Face

First half was a great and we matched United all the way, but it was the second half and two fantastic crosses and a backheel which ultimately undone us. United deserved the win, but I don't think Friedel deserved to concede 3. He looks as good as ever at the ripe old age of 40. Astute signing. We probably should have scored a few and would've done if we weren't so shit with our passing in the final third and decision making was very poor tonight compared to last week, don't care that it was Hearts because the right decision from Lennon and no doubt VDV would've scored. VDV looked good but way too selfish tonight, understood they wanted to test De Gea but just put the ball in the box with crosses, we saw De Gea fumble at a cross and that should've said something to Spurs' players, put the ball there again and again. That fumble made me wonder what if Crouch was fit and playing with his height against De Gea?

Credit to Welbeck, Cleverley, Jones, Young who did brilliantly and Rooney looked great and sharp as well. I think with them England's future may actually be looking bright for once.

I also forgot our run of league games consisted of United away, City, Liverpool and Arsenal all at home. We really needed that Everton game on the opening weekend to have given us 3 points going into them. Hearts next on Thursday isn't needed either, but with the 5 goal deficit going into the game we can rest players and keep them fresh for Sunday.

To conclude I did see positives tonight for us, and I feel we can really fight for 4th even with the squad as is, remember the midfielders that are out injured! Add Adebayor and Diarra (hopefully signing sooner rather than later) and I think this can be a great season in the end.

Once United stepped it up in the second half we had no chance unless we were decisive with our passing and finishing, which we weren't. But, we won't be playing United at Old Trafford every week. I know we got City, Liverpool and Arsenal next all at home, but I feel we can definitely beat Arsenal and Liverpool, and perhaps stun City. Beat City and confidence is up going into Liverpool, beat them then confidence is up even further ahead of a North London derby at the Lane against a weak Arsenal side compared to recent years. Stay positive, the season is a marathon not a sprint. Wink
