    We need a CB, LB and an attacking player if we're going to get 4th. I think we'll sign a CB and an attacking player this week, and a LB in Jan.
    You have a number of good, if not exceptional centre halves already, there's only Chelsea, United and possibly City who have better defences than you. Your defence is good enough for what you want to achieve so long as you don't have more catastrophic luck. There is always the option to push Song back to centre back if Frimpong is good enough to take his role in the centre of the park.

    You're already more than good enough to win a minor trophy, you just need the luck to do it. Go and read my winning article in the writing competition thread.

    That team could win the league.
    Won't happen, forget it. You can't win the League by dropping 5 players into a team during the season and expecting it to work out. With that many changes you'd be lucky to get 4th, and the prices you'd pay for them, at this stage, would be huge.

    I wasn't referring to this season, but in 1-2 seasons when the new team is fully gelled, I think we could.
    And we do 4-3-3 is too basic, and we always do the same 4-4-2 gives us more width and pace, and it saves us replacing Fabregas shifty
    You could challenge for it, but in a couple of years United will have a team that can bitchslap that one into oblivion. I don't know why you're dumping Wilshere for your team of the future anyway, he's the one bright spark at Arsenal from last season.

    How is our defence good enough Laughing

    We have 2 CB's good enough to start, 1 who can be good on his day, and 1 piece of shit. We need 1 more, if not to start over Koscielny, at least be 3rd choice.

    And Song isn't a good CB because he's too rash.

    Arsenal have had these supposedly amazing kids coming through for years, if they become top class they'll move to City or Barcelona. Besides that, our young players are better than yours. I don't think Wilshere will stick around much longer, and he certainly won't if you drop him for Moutinho because you've got this obsession with 4-4-2.

    It's good enough because it's better than all but 3 teams in the Premier League, and your ambition is to finish fourth.

    Because we have the Youth players you wanted to sign, the likes of Smalling and Jones, along with relatively young players such as Hernandez, Anderson, Cleverely, Welbeck, Rafael, Fabio, de Gea, Evans I could go on a s well. You have a few young players coming through, yeah, but unlike ours, most of yours are unproven whereas ours are highly trophied, and many of them have reached European Finals or been the best players in their loan clubs. People often talk about a lack of experience with Wenger's boys, ours have got that, and they've got it in spades.

    I'd be surprised if Wilshere sticks around, since you sold Fabregas and Nasri you can't pretend you're a big club any more, and a player like Wilshere will want to play for a big club.

    Vermaelen's not better than Agger or King but luckily for you, they're normally injured. A better comparison would be this

    Carragher < Vermaelen
    Skrtel = Koscielny
    Coates < Djourou
    Wilson < Squillaci

    and

    Dawson < Vermaelen
    Gallas = Koscielny
    Kaboul < Djourou
    Bassong < Squillaci

    Add Song in there as well and it looks even more favourable.

    2 players don't mean we are not a big club and the fact the transfer window isn't closed and Wenger can get replacements, I think you can my jist.

    Liverpool are slightly better

    King < Vermaelen
    Dawson > Koscielny
    Gallas > Djourou

    Spurs are quite a bit better and have more depth.

    Vermaelen's not better than Agger or King but luckily for you, they're normally injured. A better comparison would be this

    Carragher < Vermaelen
    Skrtel = Koscielny
    Coates < Djourou
    Wilson < Squillaci

    and

    Dawson < Vermaelen
    Gallas = Koscielny
    Kaboul < Djourou
    Bassong < Squillaci

    Add Song in there as well and it looks even more favourable.
    Vermaelen is better than Agger and King, even Liverpool and Tottenham fans would admit that........

    The amount of players we have coming through, Campbell, Szczesny, Miquel, Ramsey, Wilshere, could go on......
    Wilshere, who has supported Arsenal since ever, and who has played for them since he was about 7 I think not.
    And to say if they become top class they'll leave to Manchester City or Barcelona is a ludicrous statement to make, first of all you don't know how dominant either 3 of the parties involved will be...........

    2 players don't mean we are not a big club and the fact the transfer window isn't closed and Wenger can get replacements, I think you can my jist.
    Arsene Wenger said that if you sell Nasri and Fabregas you can't pretend you are a big club any more. Arsene knows.

    You've basically just changed it so it favors your post, but if that makes you feel like you're right then go ahead, although we both know you're not.

    Vermaelen > Agger

    And King is good when he's fit, sadly he's not anymore so Vermaelen > Him.

    Besides, you think Squillaci is better then Bassong? Laughing Enough said.

    I don't include players who miss more than 50% of their team's games, sorry.
