    but in relevance to the situation. in past we were told that small players with very little "visual" body mass and muscle would be to weak for epl

    i think this always been myth for any league

    but also, sometimes when ex player says, something is to physical for someone, they not only mean in term of duels but also in late challenge against knees andkles shins etc. some of those brainless fools consider a small player not getting up straight away from a poor tackle to be a weak player.

    example of this, few years ago i remember interview by weir who play for everton and a tackle he made on veron, very late tackle and he claim that hes not physical enough to withstand that. it seem this is different description to situation where a player gets outmuscled fairly off the ball

    Aguero and Silva - Man City who are a massive team.
    Modric - Again a pretty strong team.
    Nani - Man U.. Rooney, Fletcher, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael

    They wouldn't cope without the physical players in their team.

    because also, those little players, they play in the most key positions in terms of being able to withstand physical pressure

    silva and all other attack midfielders receive most robust confrontation and duels than any other position. it is most physically challenge position in entire team because u need 360 vision and awareness to avoid challenges. yet he is midget

    you are dragging this away from the point. saying that midgets would be central defenders is completely consequential

    be realistic my friend

    when talking of small players im referring to positions in midfield, wide and striker. those central defensive position and goalkeeper will always have some sort of height advantage or at least leap advantage or else they would not be defenders. being physically gifted is important for those roles

    im talk about other positions

    Everyone plays their role.

    Having agile players who can use their small height to their advantage due to their strengths technically is fine.

    If you have a team full of small technical players, then you will struggle when tested physically. If you have a team full of beasts, then you will struggle when tested technically.

    The point is....if you are not fast enough or technically gifted enough, then being a small player is a massive disadvantage. Where as taller people could get away with these shortcomings more.

    I think you have to be tough if you're a little guy. Silva isn't afraid to get stuck in a bit, which is probably part of why he does well.

    If you saw against Swansea, he actually shrugged a player off with his strength and then made a run which led to a goal.
