Not an impressive showing today for the team. There were a couple of bright spots though.

Some guy tried to wind me up by saying we're going to lose Pedro fucking Botelho.
I told him to try harder next time.

He is but hardly a player to cry over.
You know what I dislike, people speak of how amazing Udinese were, and they were, and how horrid we were in defence and people actually said Tech9 had a bad game, and how proficient Di Natale looked etc. etc.
But we kept a clean sheet and won, if we were so shite in all areas how did we withstand them?
Now our concentration turns to Liverpool.
If I'm honest there is a bit of a gradient, Udinese at home is the easiest of the 4 games, then Liverpool at home which is harder, then United away which is considerably harder then Udinese away which I feel could be the hardest with the pressure and stuff.
At least we got off on the right foot.

People are such cunts, always having negative stuff to say about us. Wenger made good moves in bringing on a defensive player when last season he would have brought on Arshavin instead. We rode their storm for pretty much the whole second half, we soaked up everything they threw at us yet we still kept them out with a make shift defence which changed about 3 times in the match. The Bat-Man wrote:arsenalap11 wrote:The Bat-Man wrote:Gegilworld93 wrote:Lol, he would come in handy right now as we're without a LBThe Bat-Man wrote:Some guy tried to wind me up by saying we're going to lose Pedro fucking Botelho.

What I don't understand is why Wenger hasn't bought yet, Wenger has the best scouting system in the world at his disposal and he has a good eye for talent, but why hasn't he brought in replacements for those who departed and made our squad stronger. Doesn't have to be a huge signing, someone like Marvin Martin or Yann M'Vila, an understated French player who will be big.
M'Vila will be world class, mark my words.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Arsène Wenger's instructions may again land him in trouble with Uefa
• Suspended manager believed he had permission to contact bench
• Calls continued after Uefa's half-time instruction to stop
David Hytner at the Emirates
The Guardian, Wednesday 17 August 2011
Arsène Wenger was at the centre of another row with Uefa last night regarding his attempts to get messages from his seat in the stand down to the bench as Arsenal edged to a 1-0 win against Udinese to take the advantage before a Champions League play-off second-leg tie in northern Italy next Wednesday first leg.
The manager had been banned from the dugout for one game by the governing body for his criticalcomments last season in the aftermath of Arsenal's Champions League exit at Barcelona, where he rounded on the referee, Massimo Busacca, and Uefa.
Wenger believed, following a dialogue between the club and Uefa, that it was permissible for him to send instructions via a third party in the stand to the bench, where his assistant Pat Rice was stationed. Wenger was flanked by Boro Primorac and, during the first half, the first-team coach phoned down orders to Rice.
But at half-time Uefa informed Wenger that he was not allowed to communicate in any way with the bench, leaving the Frenchman deeply unimpressed. In the second-half Primorac appeared to continue to make phone-calls, which may prompt Uefa to investigate whether Wenger attempted to bend the rules.
Wenger did not speak to the newspapers or TV after the game, arguing that his suspension ought to apply to his media commitments as well. Wenger's ire would be stoked if Uefa chose to pursue the matter or to fine him for his no-show before the media.
Problems continue to mount for the Arsenal manager, who looks likely to be without Jack Wilshere for Saturday's Premier League visit of Liverpool. The midfielder, who has an ankle problem, left the Emirates stadium with a foot in a protective cast. Wenger will also be without Alex Song and Gervinho, who will begin three-match suspensions for their indiscretions at Newcastle on Saturday. Song was punished retrospectively for his stamp on Joey Barton; Gervinho has lost his appeal to reduce his ban for slapping the Newcastle midfielder.
Samir Nasri, meanwhile, has caused more controversy by posting messages on his Facebook page that criticise Arsenal fans for turning on him ahead of a proposed transfer to Manchester City. A section of the club's travelling support chanted abusive songs about him at Newcastle. "It's nearly done but I will leave with bitterness and anger in my heart," Nasri wrote. "I am proud for having played with the Gunners. I've been very disappointed by the supporters last weekend. I am still an Arsenal player but I will certainly leave very soon."

The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, but indifference between life and death. — Elie Wiesel
Nasri should really try to look at things from a fans perspective.

He extended his deal so he isn't going anywhere. He was one of the players along with Matuidi that I wanted us to sign. At this point I don't know why he doesn't try and sign Lasana who could get plenty of matches now. Hell, even Drenthe would be a suitable back up.

Accidrenthe. Really Arise, really? He found his level at Hércules last season, would be an atrocious signing.

I know he is shit, but this Arsene we are talking about. I'm sure he won't sign anyone of merit or class, so I just tossed his name out there since he is a surplus to requirements player. I don't really want him but we need more players at the back. Wenger has signed shit players before so just staying consistent.
Not to mention he is the size of a toddler.
I'm sure the Fabregas money will be used to pay off the stadium debt if Arsene has anything to say about it.
