20 more goals then he's Barça's all time top scorer. Frightening.

Just amazing, and by the looks of things it will probably happen this season, unless he gets injured.Mal wrote:20 more goals then he's Barça's all time top scorer. Frightening.

If he keeps improving at this rate until he's like 26, he will have 1000 goals for Barca before he ends his career

Pele might have got him angry.Laurencio wrote:If he keeps improving at this rate until he's like 26, he will have 1000 goals for Barca before he ends his career

Easy Lionel
Then if you add his time at Barca C and Barca B Messi has 227 goals in 331 games.

Since December 1st, Clint Dempsey has just as many goals as Lionel Messi (10).

In 12 games each too.Scuba Steve wrote:Since December 1st, Clint Dempsey has just as many goals as Lionel Messi (10).
EDIT: 12 games for Barca and Fulham. I don't know how many they didn't play in.

You can, but then you'd be Jela.

Dempsey also plays for a much weaker side than Messi does, hence Dempsey>Messi.

He hates you too. That's why he scores against Liverpool and Canada.

Messi missed several games during this timeframe and for good reason
06/12 Barcelona 4-0 BATE; Barcelona had won the group and a clasico game was next, not on bench
22/12 Barcelona 9-0 Hospitalet; obviously not needed, not on bench

Was waiting for someone to make a video like this. He plays brilliantly with Argentina, it's just that he has to do so much with no one to help him out in creating opportunities. Also, it's ridiculous how many easy chances Higuaín misses in that video.

Yeah, his performances for Argentina are so underrated and he gets the stick for the failure of his teammates.

Argentina has a great team, attacking wise anyway. Aguero, Di Maria,Tevez, Higauin, Pastore, Messi, Riquelme (when called up), Gaitan, Lavezzi.
The ones in bold are more than capable creating opportunities

Only Riquelme can provide that creative outlet. The others are forwards and wingers, they don't have the ability to spot a pass like Messi or his Barcelona compatriots do. Pastore can but he'd have to take Messi's position in the team and that's not an option.

I think Gaitan can play in the middle as well, from what i've seen from him at Benfica he has a some playmaking ability. Pastore can play behind the strikers and Messi on the right as usual.

I agree, Messi is very underrated for Argentina.
He runs at defenders, picks out passes, creates chances but Tevez and Higuain are pretty wasteful. The midfield is pretty much crap(Why does Pastore not play?) and the Defense is a joke.Since the team as a whole does not perform the perception is that Messi does not perform but you have to see the games to watch the effort he puts in.Always the best player on the pitch for Argentina.
When we played against Argentina in the Copa America, I used to shit myself when he got the ball.
But lots of players are judged as "poor" for their National Team because the team as a whole does not perform. You never see many people attacking Spanish and German players because their national teams good performances can hide the fact one or two players are not playing well.

I am a pro cameraman and I always thought video-evidence would be/should be conclusive proof and undeniable fact. As it turns out, I have learned that ppl argue, disagree and form opinions anyway. As they say, "Why let a fact get in the way of an opinion"

It was just a joke. I don't actually think he is better than Messi because he has scored more goals as of this year.
