Holloway made a good point, that both teams wouldve agreed to go straight to penalties instead of having ET, obviously because the season just started and they have games in two days.
Anyone agree with him that it wouldve been the right choice?
Mutant123 wrote:If there game was scheduled then they have to suck it up and play regardless of if it is fair.
If the rules of the cup say they have ET before going to penaltys then I disagree with Holloway, they should just get on with it.
If his side didn't play so crap they wouldn't have had to go to ET.
Mutant123 wrote:Then if it wasn't rescheduled he had plenty of time to work out how he was going to have his best players available for the league.
If he got his team playing ET would never have had to been played.
It isn't fair but thats life. He needs to suck it up.

So, you're saying the more you are paid, the better physical shape you are in?

No, that's bullshit.
He wants to progress in the Cup and win the league game. He's got a days rest for his players before they play another match. That's bang out of order from whoever scheduled the fixtures.

Sorry there was me thinking he had more than 11 players.
I said it was unfair.
In this case he has to prioritise. If it fair or not doesn't matter...

Woah, he has more than 11 players. And the players beyond the first 11 are of the same quality then?
1 days rest means some will have to be rested. It puts Blackpool at an instant disadvantage.

He can rest players in the cup and in the league.
Sheffield Wednesday are hardly of the same quality as Blackpool either.

Blackpool got charged for resting players last season though...
