well i think we (as in the fans) want him cause we are so desperate for any kind of a quilty midfielder i personally fear he may not fit into our system and thats maybe why fergie isnt highly interested. i would prefer someone like schweinsteiger, who can just play CM without problems

if he went to city i dont think he would improve them much if at all

Ferguson and Moratti don't seem that trustworthy given there track records. So no I don't believe them if am honest.

The way I see it is that City are in the market for an attacking midfielder and Sneijder more than fits the bill, in terms of ability. Inter have approached Tevez about a move already and it seems likely where this is heading. The only way United will get him is if Tevez is taken out of the equation.

and you have 3 men in midfield.. not 2, so it isnt really CM as he would have cover. lampard would make the forward runs and he would be your Xavi

Modric is far more suited to us then Sneijder would be.

No it wouldn't.

Benayoun/Zhirkov have both been tested in the 'Modric role' in pre-season. Benayoun did it fantastically, but his age means he won't be doing it for long.

Modric is more suited to AVB's idea of a collective team style as well. Can intercept balls like he's a DM, not bad at tackling, great passing, and great dribbling from deep.

Modric plays a deeper role in the midfield, he'd suit a 4-3-3 very well. Sneijder wouldn't, we'd need to switch to 4-2-3-1.

at the world cup he played behind the striker, but i probably didnt remember that as the whole tournament was forgettable
