I think mine is a worst case scenario.
If you sold Nasri for £25m, you could use the money to find a replacement, but if he leaves on a free, that becomes a little harder, surely?
Arsenal would not get a replacement this summer. This is how i see it..
Lose Nasri this summer - Struggling for top four
Keep Nasri - Top four, increase likelihood of a trophy and there is always the possibility of him signing a contract.
How do you know we wouldn't get a replacement? Could I have the lottery numbers by any chance? Im goin down the shop in a mo, need to win tonight.
We have offered Nasri a contract and he's doesn't want to sign it cos he wants more money. Even if we was to win everything possible next season, he'd still leave cos he's money motivated and City will happily give him 180k a week whereas we are offering 80k less, if that.
Ok so tell me about our other replacements in previous times for players
Adebayor
Gallas
Flamini
Hleb
Just a quick few examples in recent seasons
Adebayor after a YEAR replaced by Chamakh nowhere near good enough
Gallas - Djourou or Koscielny really a good replacement?
Flamini - Took a year for Song to get into the team
Hleb - Took us 6 months to get Arshavin in before that we were suffering and could not even score
While you ask me for the lottery numbers do you know Nasri personally? When has he said hes money-driven? Do we even know if he has said he wants to leave and if he has how do you know its not trophy driven
He wants to win trophies and he has a much better chance at City.
