Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
Cahill or Dann could be quite a good signing for Chelsea. They'd make a good defensive partner for Terry, something which he needs in order to perform at his best, like when Carvalho was there.

Even when I try to post constructively, you still act like this.

Romeu: "Leaving Barça was the best for me now. This is an extraordinary, unique chance. I couldn't let it slip by. Chelsea is a top team and they play a more direct game than I'm used to. It will take time to adapt but I'm sure I will. Favourite Chelsea player? I've always admired Lampard. But also Terry, Drogba... Because they're at the top for so many years."

They aren't a top team they are a 2nd top team.luke. wrote:What?
Still, he knows that if he can get a chance at Chelsea which I'm not to sure he will then he will be back off to Barcelona anyway. He needs first team football not the odd cup game and 5 minutes off the bench. He will not get any more chances at Chelsea than he had at Barcelona. Barcelona should of just loaned him out for a season first.

'We talked little. He told me he needed a midfielder with features like the ones I had, which dominate the game of position, with some automation in place to adapt rapidly to football as he likes. He conveyed his desire to be a key player.'

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
Like I said, who will he replace?
I'll bet you 5,000 Playmaker points that he doesn't start 15+ games in the league or Champions League knockout rounds this season.

Essien is out until sometime into the new year. Mikel is quite slow on the ball at times and as much as I love him, prone to doing something stupid every so often.
I doubt we'd sign a player with a buy-back clause in his contract and NOT play him.

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
Can/does anyone else play in that position other than Essien and Mikel?
The buy-back clause only works for two years does it not? If so then you will probably decide to not play him much for two years if you see something in him. He has no experience so should be one for the future.
You going to accept my bet? I'll even offer you 100 Playmaker points for every appearance he makes after his 15th.
