Bit of a kick in the arse as they've had 12 months to find someone, but think a CB is a priority atm.

What's the Tiote situation?
I read some rumors that Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in him.

I would expect bids, but they will have to go huge, a la Andy Carroll. Despite popular opinion we are not a selling club, where everything is available for a packet of Donnay socks..bitdriver wrote:What's the Tiote situation?

Tiote is apparently 'suspicious of what london has to offer' and 'feels a debt of gratitude towards NUFC for taking a chance on him' furthermore the agent is one of our favored men, with a good relationship with dekka. Making it unlikely tiote will kick up a fuss. If he does leave, your talking 30 million plus.

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Another game, another injury.
Hopefully we start something with the Montepillier defender with the cool name. From what I'ver heard he can cover all defensive positions quite well and is a leader at the club. Something we need in place of Saylor.
Shame his team is fighting for top spot in Ligue 1, meaning:
a) they won't let him go
b) they will let him go but for a great price like 16m
Guess we can fight for Nathaniel Clyne, given his contract is running out, and he isn't inking a new deal. We will be in a fight for his signature with the big dogs, but we can provide him a starting role. Will the fata$$ be willing to shell out 4-6m for a Championship player with great potential?
AND GET PERCH THE FK OUT.
Newcastle record WITH Perch
Win vs Nottingham Forest 4-3 (aet)
Loss vs Blackburn 3-4 (aet)
Loss vs Chelsea 0-3
Loss vs Norwich 2-4
Draw vs Swansea 0-0
Loss vs West Brom 2-3
Bring back Sol ffs.

I was saying something not so long ago on EA, something along the lines of "Newcastle's luck will run out soon."
I was obviously met with great hostility from Sammys_Tekkers and Big_Lad_Taylor, who categorically denied my predictions.
Hmmmmm

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Eh? Can't remember that. Always thought we would falter a bit. If I did do that I probably thought you were on about decisions going our way.
Actually, I think I remember something, but I was on about the fact that everyone thought we were lucky at the start of the season, when actually we weren't.
May have also said something along the lines of being sick of people knocking us down and not giving us credit. I said many times on EA that I was going to enjoy being in the top 4 as it hadn't happened for a while and probably wouldn't happen again for a while, so please, if you are going to slander my good name, at least get the facts correct. Thanks.
