Love Lovenkrands, but he's past it now.
No chance of Tiote leaving, him and Pardew have this thing going on.

Was reading the other day that Pardew said that a club would have to pay over the odds for him. "An Andy Carroll type offer" were his words.

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Yep, if someone offered stupid money we have to accept really. Not really in the position to reject all offers and keep him. Expect him to leave soon, but really hope he doesn't. Anyway, we would just send Graham Carr on a search for a new Tiote anyway

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Tiote is a serious doubt for the Man United game, so Sir Danny Guthrie may have to start again. Obertan should be back.
Nike could have the rights to the stadium name by Christmas, while Virgin money (who have taken over Northern Rock if I'm correct) are in talks about becoming our shirt sponsor.

-Maiga deal almost done
-Apparently got a huge deal with Puma for the kits
-Pardew admits Newcastle may lose some players in January, but they will have to pay over the top prices, ie. Carroll.

Taylor out for the rest of the season, Colo out for a few weeks, Perchino and Kadar to make the step up with an academy player, probably Dummet on the bench until Colo and Williamson are back in 2 or 3 weeks.

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Not got a problem with Newcastle but this guy continues to write articles expressing his dislike for Celtic on a popular Newcastle website. Are all your fans this deluded?

Don't read anything on that site so don't know. Read one or two things and he never actually says anything meaningful, much better blogs with much less biased opinions.

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
Cheick Tiote has enlisted the help of his favourite witch doctor in a bizarre bid to regain full fitness for Newcastle.
The Ivory Coast star was given permission by club owner Mike Ashley to fly back to his homeland to see the shaman.
The 25-year-old has fluid on his right knee which is causing pain and restricting his movement when twisting and turning. He has already missed vital Premier League games against Manchester United, Chelsea and leaders Manchester City.
The injury is taking too long to heal, in Tiote’s opinion. So with Ashley’s blessing he flew back to Yamoussoukro, capital of the Ivory Coast, for his bizarre treatment.
The shaman – wearing a leafy head-dress – performed a ritual involving mysterious chanting, singing and prayers so that Tiote’s injury curse would be broken.
Apparently he is doing this to secure a move away from Newcastle, yet in the same article it says he would prefer to stay till the summer

-We were apparently offered 50 defenders days after Taylor's injury
-Maiga is having a medical today, probably to wrap up the deal as soon as the window opens and before he goes to Africa.
-Coloccini and Tiote have been declared fit for Swansea

Kind of jumped the gun on the Tiote fit part. May not be fit, Abeid on standby.

Re: Official Newcastle United Thread
It depends on what we do in January, if we sign a striker then there is no chance we will, if not we may go back in for him. Had his heart set on a move here.

Pardew would get the best out of El Nino Sadly his wages are too high, and Sow will be off to Africa aswell Who have we been linked with striker wise recently? Giroud is the one I've heard the most, but heard bits about Cisse and Nolan Roux in the summer, could go for one of them.
Nice sig btw
