considering ronaldos ratio is around 0.7. 7 in 6 games is a lot. and also messis extra games have been in the later stages of the knockout round, where its harder to score goals than in the group stages where most of ronaldos have been

its a silly arguement though, ronaldo scores like one in 50 of those shots and attempts it often, messi will play a pass or attempt a dribble and then who knows how that move will end, having a good long shot is no doubt a good thing, but it is questionable whether using it when you have a yard of space 35 yards out from goal is better than doing what messi would do, attempt to dribble past players or play a pass.
