John Henry says he wants Liverpool to be back winning trophies, do you really think he'd give a fuck about that if it weren't for the increased revenue glory hunters would bring?

Re: The GLORYHUNTERS Bible
Glory-hunters are the heartbeat of football. Clubs like Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, the reason they want to try and get back to the top of football from mediocrity and aren't happy just to slide into being shit is because the top clubs get a bigger fanbase, and as a result, get more money. If it wasn't for 'glory hunters', all these shit teams would be happy to stay being shit because the same fans would come every week and empty their pockets to watch shit players, subscribe to Sky Sports and demand to see their teams play.

Re: The GLORYHUNTERS Bible
I think RR just hit the nail on the head.
At the end of the day, success attracts glory hunters. Glory hunters results in a bigger fanbase which will buy club merchandise and earns them money. This is what all football clubs are aiming for.

Liverpool have the 6th highest commercial revenue in the world.
United are the only club in Britain that makes more money than us via Merchandise and shit.
More Gloryhunters = more money to spend on players

Re: The GLORYHUNTERS Bible
Clubs aim for gloryhunters, and to improve it is a necessity.....but so what?
In the end, football is not Communism.....whilst all parts of football are important and keep things going......in the end some parts are more important.....and some are going to feel better about themselves or feel better than others.
I'm not against people supporting football around the world, but I support my local team, go to every home game + some away and I'm actually a passionate supporter who cares. I won't bother telling people who to support, it's up to that person...but likewise I have freewill too and chose what I perceive is the "more right" path.

Also....Thou shall read http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/ and talk about it as if it's a legitimate source.

I would change the number to 10% or so. I put 99% because I was parodying James.

That's all true. Agree 100%. However, what's your point? We're still going to rip on them.

Nah, but I think that people who only go to 20% of games aren't exactly super dedicated fans either.
