Still can't believe Atletico signed Falcao, hardly any press about it but it seems to be a great buy.

Roque Santa Cruz has joined Real Betis on a one year loan deal.

How much do you expect Pacheco to play for you?Andrés wrote:He probably made the right choice. It's not as if he'd be a certain starter if he joined us, we have five potential starting strikers in the squad right now. Expecting Forlan to leave though, so probably four.Jamie wrote:Aaron wrote:Osvaldo has joined Roma for €18m on a five year contract.
Not a bad signing, so much for being Atlético bound...

Forlan out? Falcao in. Wonder how it will affect the club, if at all.

He's been loaned by Atlético to Rayo Vallacano. Atlético have a purchase option on him.

It's more Aguero out, Falcao in tbh. Forlan did nothing last season really.

Mind fuck, our official website said we'd loaned him to Atlético, how can you loan a loan player?

Are Man City still paying his wages? I'd assume so.

I think the situation is Atlético wanted to see how he could cope in La Liga this season. At Rayo he will get enough chances then at the end of the season Atlético have the say on whether they want to purchase him or not, crazy really.

Aguero out, Salvio back in.
Falcao can't be compared to either Forlan or Kun because he's a completely different type of player.

In terms of style yeah, but in terms of importance Falcao will be as important as Kun was surely?

So we've kind of indirectly loaned him to Rayo whilst giving Atlético the chance to buy him if he does well?

Its kind of like when Milan got Genoa to loan Prince-Boateng for them and then Milan took him on loan. Or something like that?

Re: La Liga 11/12
Towards the end of the 09/10 season i was calling for Salvio to replace Kun in the starting 11, good to see him back and it looks as if that loan has done him good.Aaron wrote:Nice performance from Salvio tonight Andrés. Also think Gabi was a very clever signing.
And yeah, really glad we got someone like Gabi. Assuncao just isn't good enough.
Not sure. Kun did have a good season last year, but before that he wasn't really up to par. I'd expect Salvio to be the one doing Kuns job, with Falcao being the main goal threat.arsenalap11 wrote:Andrés wrote:It's more:arsenalap11 wrote:It's more Aguero out, Falcao in tbh. Shame we couldn't get someone like Forlan who can do absolutely everything in attack.

League goals over his career with us:kyro7 wrote:Then he smashed what? 27 goals?Andrés wrote:Towards the end of the 09/10 season i was calling for Salvio to replace Kun in the starting 11.Aaron wrote:Nice performance from Salvio tonight Andrés. Also think Gabi was a very clever signing.
06/07: 19
07/08: 19
08/09: 17
09/10: 12
10/11: 20
For a young player that just isn't good enough. last season was the first time with us that he actually improved on his previous season, when you're young you need to be improving year after year, for a couple of years he actually went backwards.

How is that not good enough for a young player?
09/10 was the only kind of bad year for him and that's only because he set such high standards.

If any young player scored that many league goals so consistently in the Premier League everyone would be, to quote Kyro, FUCKING BUUUSSSSINN"
