I think Kuyt is better, but Park is a dream squad player. He makes so much from marketing in the Asian market, doesn't complain when he isn't starting and works his socks off when he does come on.

Both have their advantages, Kuyt's more versatile and the better goalscorer, while Park is more technical and quicker.

The question is 'Who is the better player', you judge players by their best position in this instance. If the question was 'Who would you rather' then that would be the right time to use versatility as a reason.

Who is the better player= who has more ability and who is more useful to a team.

Ok in that case i would prefer John O'shea to Gerrard as he is more useful to the team.

But again I said it only factors into the equation, you need to consider the ability too.

Striker = Kuyt > Park

Winger = Park > Kuyt.

Park can also play as a striker by the way, he did so against Milan and Liverpool last season and he was excellent. He can play as a central midfielder and as a winger too, he is a very versatile, useful player.

For a big lump of those appearances he was on the wing. As a striker, he's a proven goalscorer.

Dirk Kuyt for sure. Versatile player, hard worker, gives everything for team, is a team player and is very vital to both Liverpool and Holland, he's first choice for both teams. He's an important player for both teams, I think that somewhat confirms his quality. He was one of Holland's best players in the World Cup in my opinion. I think he possess' more overall quality than Park, Park's not a bad player by any means, but he's a squad player, Dirk's not.

More prolific in front of goal, more quality basically.

Kuyt is one of the most underrated players in the world he is hard working and versatile
