I voted Kuyt btw.

They are both great players whom's work ethic should be admired, but Kuyt's a true gent and a proper footbalelr. He had a decent season this year. He pops up at the right time and I hope he hangs up his boots at Liverpool.

No it's not, if one player is more versatile than another player then it's obviously going to work in his favour when people are saying who they think is a better player.

Your speaking like he only offers wing play, his wing play is actually not good at all.

What he does best is joining the central midfielders, breaking play up, and ending up off the striker or CM, moving to LM as well, he's not just a winger.. he's so much more than that.

The question is 'Who is the better player', you judge players by their best position in this instance. If the question was 'Who would you rather' then that would be the right time to use versatility as a reason.
