Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admits he
would be happy to see England head coach Fabio Capello take over the
hot seat at Giuseppe Meazza.
Leonardo left the Italian giants to take over as coach of Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain earlier this week.
The Nerazzuri, who had to settle for second place behind arch-rivals
AC Milan in Serie A last season, are now looking for a successor to the
Brazilian.
And Inter president Moratti admits he is likely to face another busy summer as he ponders various names.
One of those is the current England manager, with Moratti telling La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Who doesn't like him? (Capello)"
The Italian is currently tied down to the Three Lions until after the
2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine and is unlikely to
leave his role halfway through qualification.
Right coach
Moratti is aware that he is likely to face stiff competition from Chelsea, who are also seeking a new manager.
He admitted: "I am looking for the right coach for Inter. A person
who won;t change the team a great deal and will try to win everything."
The Portuguese media reported this week that Porto coach Andre Villas
Boas turned down Inter, while former Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa also
rejected an approach.
Moratti added: "At the beginning he (Bielsa) was excited about coming
but then he had a few family problems and he had to decline.
"He was truly sorry and I also had a personal letter from him explaining the situation."
Former Inter defender Sinisa Mihajlovic is now being linked with the
role along with a whole host of names including Palermo coach Delio
Rossi, former Genoa coach Giampiero Gasperini, Louis van Gaal and
Brazilian duo Dunga and Zico.

I'm not really fussed either way really but I think I'd rather see him stay. Also, leaving England for Inter wouldn't exactly enhance our reputation.

I would like him to stay because I don't want Redknapp in charge...

Hope Capello goes, he's making the National Side worse than it already is.

Re: Inter interested in Capello
Would be a really bad move for England, everyone criticises Capello, say he is shit or a turnip or whatever, but who the fuck would replace him? Ancelotti and Benitez the best candidates in my view, and neither of them is as good as Capello.

I think Rafa would actually do an alright job with England, but would the fans want another foreigner?

Well I don't see any other way of us improving with the English managers available to right now.
Benitez would play the right way and be pro-youth too + I think he'd encourage our academies to improve technically.

It's written that 'Arry is going take over. FFS.
The only good thing I can possibly say about him is that he is pro-attack.

I found it funny too considering before Capello we didn't qualify for the major tournament But somehow we did under him.

Best win % of any England manager ever, but he's making us worse. The logic is undeniable.

Re: Inter interested in Capello
I can't believe the morons in here saying we should get rid of him.
What benefits could come of it? We're in the middle of our Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and you're suggesting we should replace him for, i don't know, Harry fucking Redknapp, our most likely candidate to replace Capello?

Another foreigner probably but not Rafa. He's just a fat Spanish waiter according to most English people.

Yeah he would be great to have as a replacement, but the FA insist on the next England manager being English for some reason.

Redknapps going to wales, So he can be with his Bestfriend Gareth Bale. James Collins will be used upfront to replicate the, get the ball to Bale whip it to crouchy for a knockdown to Defoe tactic. We'll be unbeatable i tell you.
Collins - Crouch
Earnshaw - Defoe
Bale - Bale
Arry - Triffic.
