Forest are a bigger club than some of the premier league teams, getting Forest back to the premier league, how is that not ambition? It would go along way to getting his once good reputation back in England. Forest may only be a stepping stone for Mclaren like Boro were but the Boro fans knew that and got 5 excellent years out of him so if he does the same for Forest they'll be happy.

    Good move.

Can't wait to face our more competitive rivals in a few years in the Prem.

Exactly, forest are a massive club.

Can't believe people can say someone has no ambition by joining one of Englands biggest football clubs.
Its certainly a bigger job than managing Spurs,City and Chelsea for example....

The current Forest job is hardly bigger than Chelsea, Spurs etc.

Historically, they are a bigger club, but only because of two European Cups. Their domestic success isn't anything special.

    No offence Forest like.

Chelsea can only dream of being as good as Forest.

I think Roman will take one look at them now under Steve and think think ''This is a far more attractive club, I should sell chelsea and purchase them instead''.

    Massive? Come on now.

I'm sure McClaren could've gotten a Premier League job, and I'm sure he had foreign teams interested in his services who have UEFA Cup and maybe even Champions League potential, I praised him for going abroad and trying new things but now it seems he's gone back to his comfort zone and even worse -- down a division, that's regressing.
