hodgson has proven throughout years that he is the master of tactics. many time this season dalglish was tactically outclass but you must understand its a learning curve he is still learning. give dalglish sometime he will get there sooner or later

Maybe it's just me but neither have done anything tactically innovating to me in the time I've seen them. Hodgson has been able to impose an offensive and defensive style into his teams but accroding to many reports it's drilled into players on the training pitch for months, which is understandable I guess but it obviously didn't work with Liverpool or Inter Milan. There is nothing he does that screams creativity or innovation.
As for Dalglish, I know he's won various trophies as a manager but I haven't seen any of them, and as always tactics change over time. He played that 3-5-1-1 vs. Chelsea which was interesting but since then it's been something resembling a 4-4-2, I'd need to see how he does not only for a longer period of time but in Europe as many English teams play a similar style and there is little need to flex the lineup in different directions.
