How can G+H buy a club for £220 Million and sell the club at £300 Million. Then Mr Hicks says he lost £140 million.

They never put any money towards the club.

He's not exactly a messiah but he isn't a bad manager either.

They probably still respect him in Spain because he is the last manager to win the title with a team outside of Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Please don't just use the European Cup as there is a lot more to a manager than however many Champions League's they have won.

While you deserved to win the CL in 2005, you have to admit that towards the latter stages you got a lot of luck.

The referee in the semi-final could have easily decided not to award you that 'ghost goal' and in the final the referee could have let Shevchenko retake that final penalty when Dudek came well off his goaline.

Any manager that wins the european cup at ANY club would go down as a legend that is alls i was saying.

The Ref i he hadnt of given the goal - he would of had to send Cech off and give a penalty so probably would have been 1-0 against 10men anyway.
Guttuso also could of been sent off too in the final so not just luck for us.

Benitez had a lot of bad luck? Please, he only kept his job for so long because Shevchenko missed an easy chance in Istanbul. Or you could say it was saved by a goalkeeper he didn't buy.

Not to mention Nesta handballed in the box in the build-up to their second goal.

Mind you, there was an offside for the 2nd Liverpool goal but no-one ever mentions that. Also Shevchenko had a goal wrongly disallowed in the first half.

Baros was level when he strikes the ball. I could go on through the whole competition from the 1st qualifying game against Strum Graz where Gerrard had a perfectly good goal disallowed where "luck" went against us.

did it actually hit Baros? I always thought he just got out of the way

Linesman raised his flag, that's good enough for me. It didn't touch him, but if you asked Dida I'm sure he'd tell you it was a distraction.
