Lol at anyone who thinks Messi can't beat Stoke when he rapes Bilbao every game, even the last game he played he dribbled past about 6 of them all making tackles

Didn't really expect people to start arguing Rooney's case. They might as well go over to EA forums and join the numerous retards who share the same distorted opinions.

If you think Barcelona would struggle at Stoke then you have not yet grasped the concept of bookings and dismissals in football. Realistically, 9 times out of 10, Stoke would finish this fixture with 10 or fewer players.

They don't have a Delap. Barcelona would struggle against Delap. Wayne Rooney: Messi wouldn't be suited to the English game - Page 2 279869

I think United fans would even argue Rooney's case if he said that every single United fan is a cockmuncher tbh. He has them licking his arse after shitting over their whole club.

Messi doesn't need Xavi and Iniesta to be good, what the hell. A big chunk of his goals come from solo runs and mesmerizing dribbles. It's stupid when people try to say that his performances with Argentina prove he's only good with Barcelona. That's such a cliche. Do they not watch Messi for Argentina? He's just as good as he is for Barca, but terribly unlucky. He's hit the post countless times.

Messi destroyed the Champions of the Premier League. Of course he would be as good in the Premier League. Players like Modric are not on par with Messi, but play in a Messi-esque way. If Modric can look good in the Premier League, then Messi can look even better.

Most people are just joking about the Stoke, rainy Tuesday night thingy. Anybody with any football knowledge knows that Barca would rip the likes of Stoke and Birmingham apart.

Barcelona would probably beat Stoke but it wont be an easy game for them (not that Stoke are such a great team) but because of the mentality of the players on the pitch. I dont think Pep will just send Messi to run wild against Stoke especially with a high risk of injury etc.

But as we know they probably wont ever play each other so we wont know.

Arsenal are shit. Not one shot all game against Barca and they're apparently England's best footballing team? Laughing

Stoke and Blackburn would have had at least 1 shot against them had they played.

Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Villa, Alves, Abidal all running at braindead defenders of Stoke would find it hard?

They made getting past the best defence in England look like they were playing against an under 11 team, why would they struggle against an inferior team to Man Utd?

Statistically maybe, I'd say that's more to better midfield protection than actual back four though.

Man City have the most overrated defence around; they're just a defensive football team who play anti-football against any noteworthy opponents.

But wouldn't midfield protection be included in the defensive phase?

Unless you're just talking about back 4.

Which even then is debatable, on paper shifty

It would but I was talking about back 4 only. Even if you bring in defensive midfielders then United are still better than Stoke defensively.
