It's 16 years from now! Libya is already hosting the African Cup of Nations in 2013! And Egypt is a very well developed country. The protesting isn't exactly gonna last 15 more years is it?
It will help the international African squads to progress also as it is an African team that is most likely to break the Europe/South America dominance

Who the hell knows? But if the vote was held today (which it obviously isn't), how could you vote for Libya in good conscience? You can't just assume that everything will be hunky dory there. It could go either way at this point. Libya could be the jewel of the Sahara by then, but it could just as easily be the next Somalia.

If I would have posted this back in January/February would you have agreed with me?
I thought of the idea before initially before I remembered the rioting. It will do the whole continent of Africa good both in actual life as well as in footballing terms, And isn't the reason we lost the World Cup due to FIFA wanting to create a "legacy"? As you have said it can go either way, But the gains would be huge if it ever was performed.
