First thing first, people are most likely going to be away from home over Christmas. Whether it is fans, players or staff. Not very fair.
Secondly, when was the last World Cup played in winter?
Thirdly.. theres not really a thirdly but

Why don't all the stewards dress up like santa, maybe they can put xmas lights and decorations on the stadiums and instead of exchanging the usual stuff before a game they can exchange well wrapped presents.

Wouldn't having a World Cup in the winter disrupt the entire European league system?

Having a World Cup in Qatar just isn't going to work, FIFA might as well change it now before Qatar start the preperations. Neutral

The most ridiculous thing is they knew that Qatar wouldn't be able to hold it in Summer as they had to rearrange the Asian Cup.

Shows FIFA were willing to give it to Qatar no matter what their shortcomers.
