Definitely not football of the same style but I think he'd have similar success.

Re: Pep Guardiola
does ferguson know how to make them play like that...is a lot more complicated then u think
im sure guardiola does not know how to play efficient counter constructive football of man u either. it would take long time to learn those style infact i doubt either would bother. some manager are just to proud to copy other managers when they inherit team that they try to influence and implement their own styles but end up failing
look at fat benitez idiota. his massive ego and arrogant mind, he changed a winning squad to try and 'stamp' his own name on team and it crumbled. if he had stuck to same systematics of mourinho previously. he would of surely won serie a this season and would be still coaching internazionale. is those fine margine that is a seperating great coach to mediocre coach

Re: Pep Guardiola
I disagree mauro - I think Rafa was right to impose his own style - he had an aging squad who in the previous season had won everything - a lot of people were questioning their hunger for next season especially after not having freshened the squad during the summer.
He also had the likes of Eto'o etc complaining he wanted to play striker etc.....Mourinho got out at exactly the right time.
The best way to continue given the circumstances was to play a more attractive brand of footy (In a hope that this would also motivate the players) - it didn't work out.
Benitez did not have the swagger to continue in the same style as Jose and have every player work their asses off for him.
Look at what Leonardo did - he continued with what Benitez was trying to do - he went ultra attacking.

So what you're saying is Ferguson and Guardiola are great and proud because they don't try to copy other managers.
But Benitez is an idiot because he didn't try to copy Mourinho?

Re: Pep Guardiola
While he did have a lot set out for him when he first came in, he deserves an enormous amount of praise for what he had done.
Even if he had Messi, Xavi and Iniesta when he came in, the team was not performing well. In 07-08, the year before he became manager, they finished 3rd in the league, well behind Real Madrid and even Villarreal.
In the 3 years since then, they have dominated European football and are unquestionably the best team in the world.
The way he has done that and done it playing a superb brand of football has to make him one of the best managers around.

Two managers with two different philosophies. I have no doubt Fergie would have them playing exceptionally well, but I doubt they would be playing in the same "tiki taka" style under him.

Need's a new challenge, might as well leave while you are at the top of your game rather than leave during a decline.

Doesn't want to embarrasse himself. Has the best team in the world by a mile and he can't even win a 2 team league.

He has always said that he doesn't see himself managing Barca for long. That's why he only signs 1 year contracts.

He's going to Chivas to be honest. Even if he says he won't. He will.
