I don't know. I was just reading a paper explaining what happened to all the Black people in Mexico, why compared to many other similar countries the Black population was so small.
The theory was that unlike these other countries the Indigenous and Mestizo population would procreate with the Black population and over the years they were so mixed in with the other races you could barely tell them apart. So apparently a lot of people have like 12% African in them.
