Post by SophisticatedBeggar Wed May 25, 2011 7:42 pm

Not only are these players Mexico's best young players, they are some of Mexico's best players period.

Elias Hernandez-(23)- Morelia- exceptional winger, great dribble, vision, speed, and shooting

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in-8xGLCJP0

Christian "Hobbit" Bermudez-(24)- Atlante- One of Mexico's most talented players ( Domestic or abroad), winger, good finishing, not tall at all

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7MmjG7nCDY

Javier Cortes- (21)- UNAM- another winger, very good crosses, speed, and overall potential.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ1PpYYo3Bc

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qbaIVOzf5s

Miguel Ponce- (22)- Guadalajara- Strong left fullback, very
similar to a young Carlos Salcido, very good at defending, prone to some
mental lapses but nothing that can't be worked on, decent speed nothing
    to brag about

    No Video Yet

Marco Fabian- (21)- Guadalajara- Has become one of the
leagues best attacking midfielders, great shot, godd passing, Will most
likely take the 10 for Mexico in due time, maybe the best attacking
    talent from Mexico

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIU-vsMp3Hs

Javier Aquino- (21)- Cruz Azul- yet another winger in what
seems to be Mexico's deepest position, good dribbling and crossing, not
    very strong, flair player

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvKcbQTZbQQ

Hiram Mier- (21)- Monterrey- Probably the best young talent
that Mexico has to offer, has already become the best Mexican central
defender in the league, Strong with the right amount of speed, should
soon be a starter for the National Side, potential to be just as good or
    better than Marquez.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aj0lkf2znQ

Diego Reyes- (18 )- Club America- Holding Mid, Poised,
plays like a seasoned vet, cannot tell he is a rookie without seeing his
face, natural to fill in the Midfield for Mexico NT, needs to put a a
little more muscle (not weak though)

    No video yet.

Jorge Torres Nilo- (23)- Tigres- Strong fullback, National
Team regular, WC 2010 participant, decent speed, goes up well, aerial
game, runs for days, gives away silly fouls at time, too many bookings

Fernando Navarro- (22)- Atlante- winger, fullback, center midfielder, skilled on the ball, crosses, speed, lack of strength, very short.

Jorge Hernandez- (23)- Atlante- Barcelona tried to sign him
in 2006 but regulations stopped the deal, impressive performance in U-17
champion side(2005), not rated by many people now, Defensive Mid or
Center Mid, more of a personal opinion on this one

Edgar Pacheco- (21)- Atlas- Good free kicks, long shots,
two-footed, dribbling, alright passes, not very strong, seems like the
fame can go to his head

Was that supposed to be a joke. The reason Cubo is even on this list is because everyone thinks he is going to be good. Personally I'm not convinced he is even that good of a player. Was meaning to take him out since the moment defenders started pressuring him and marking him, he did nothing for the rest of the season.

Reyes, Mier, Ponce, Navarro and Hernandez will probably never make more than a handful of appearances for the national team.

Not saying they are bad players but don't think they'll ever make it. Maybe Mier but Araujo from Cruz Azul will probably be picked ahead of him.

Do you really think Araujo is any good. From what I've seen he is overhyped trash just as Villaluz was a few years ago. Mier shouldn't even be considered a young talent anymore. He is a reality, already better than Rodriguez, current Marquez, and even Moreno to be honest. Navarro is probably not getting called anytime soon.

Reyes is one hell of a player. As much as I hate the team he plays for, to be that young and still play with the poise of a veteran is extraordinary.

I'm not saying Araujo is better but I think he'll get chosen ahead of Meir. Also I think to say he's better than all three current center backs is a stretch.

Reyes is good it's not easy to take someone like Pardo's place because of Pardo's history and influence, different kind players but still. However the midfield spot for the future is highly contested. Molina, Zavala, Araujo, Enriquez, dos Santos, Rios, and Juarez(if he doesn't play as right back)will probably all be fighting for midfield spots. I don't think Reye's inclusion is a certainty.

True the midfield is going to be highly contested. Say we take Juarez out of the equation and consider him as consolidated. Ideally, In my opinion, the midfield would be dos Santos and someone else. Reyes is already ahead of Araujo, Molina, Enriquez, and Rios as he will likely play the mid alongside Jona at the Copa America. Zavala is a good player and will likely be his competition, but there is something about Reyes that just makes me believe he will be a great player. Again if you don't like America that's understandable, but he is a great player.

Hey, don't cap Ponce if he isn't going to play much. We need a left back.

The left back position will be battled between Ponce and Nilo. Nilo obviously has the advantage right now but I would rule out Ponce as he is a carbon copy of a young Salcido.

Out of curiosity, who do you support? Monterrey I imagine? Or Pumas?, you said you don't like America so I'm thinking of a big or semi big team. Although I don't think too many teams like America.

Edit: Oh wait are you that guy who supported Santos/Ac Milan in the old forum?

@ Steve you can't have him, we need a left back and if the US cap him, he'll probably be shipped out. Guadalajara>>>USMNT. Awesome Face

I don't think we have another left back on our team. Well Alvarez plays leftback for the NT on occasion but he's really a center back. Neutral

A lot of great young talents coming through. Fabian, Ponce, Reyes, Pacheco, Elias, Bermudez, Cortes. I think this group will see the most playing time in the future. Copa America will be very interesting.

I support Santos Laguna, well on the old forums there was a guy who supported Santos/Milan but I was there too and supported Santos/Juve. thats how highly I think of Mier, I hate Monterrey more than America but a good player is a good player.
