It is true that Liverpool fans always claim they have the best players in the League/World in so many different positions despite winning fuck all to show for it. I remember in the Benitez years, they claimed they had the best manager, the Premier League's best goalkeeper, the best defenders in Europe in Carragher and Agger, the 'best midfield in the World', the best striker in the world, the best attacking midfielder in the world, and the best wingers in the Premier League in Babel and Kuyt.

While Liverpool fans were banging on about this, Manchester United were racking up Premier League titles and a European Cup, but did that stop them? No, never. It was all because of the owners (who had paid for most of the team), or because of Howard Webb that they didn't win the League. They're notoriously full of shit when it comes to over-rating their own players, especially at this time of year.

Played integral parts in numerous trophy winning sides, he can control a midfield whereas Gerrard cant, does not dive, much better passing, shows up in big games (If you man mark Gerrard like essien did then it will be like playing with 10 men).
