Come on AFC want them to get higher than the Dongs and show them who the real club is.

They will most likely face Luton in the final, is it at Wembley or they playing it at another ground?

Deserve League football? scratch I'd say on the basis of 'deserving it' then AFC Wimbledon should be promoted.

The prices are £36 for adults and £18 for under 16's in the lower tier.
Level 2 pries are £41 for adults with no concessions available.
Each ticket includes a £3 booking fee with £2.25 being the cost of first class delivery. £5.25 for recorded delivery.

They go on general sale on Monday 15th May on Seetickets.com only.

It's a shame Wrexham missed that penalty as it would have put the game wide open and more entertaining.

Wimbledon vs Fleetwood tommorow. I'm hoping that Fleetwood will make a game of it and perhaps go into half time with at least a one goal lead. From watching the 1st leg Wimbledon to appear to have a lot of quality in their side so it will be very tough for Fleetwood. Hopefully their fans will set some flares off and make it as good an atmosphere as in the 1st leg.

My question is how would Wimbledon in League 2? Becoming a professional club is a big step, especially financially.

Lots of clubs seem to do well after getting out of the conference. Stevenage, Barnet(just about) Dagenham and Redbridge, Exeter (with thelast 2 playing in league 1 this season)

Doncaster where in the conference 11 years ago I think it was, then they got promoted, promoted again to league 1, then got out of league 1 and now are an established Championship side.

Long term I don't doubt Wimbledon's potential success.

I'm thinking more along the lines of their nearly instant promotion to League 2. They don't have as big of a financial background as other clubs (IIRC they are owned by a fans charity group) and aren't professional. The jump to League 2 would mean professional contracts to their players, staff etc. as well as the need to find a proper ground as IIRC they are just renting some small stadium on the outskirts of London, among other things.

I'm just wondering if the jump may be too big for them to take all at once.

They could carry on renting the ground.

I honestly don't think it will be much of a problem. They income to the club should be enough to cover wages, the rent etc.

There isn't much difference between the conference and league 2. That is why when teams go up to league 2, they fair pretty well and when teams go down the conference they usually struggle to get back up.

I think they will need to get their own stadium, if they are to become a football league club. Reason is, if they get promoted they will have a 3 year deadline to improve the capacity of the stadium from 4720 to 5000 and will be required to a minimum of 2000 seats. Currently 1265 at Kingsmeadow.

Unless Kingsmeadow FC build a new 2000 seater stand then Wimbledon will have to leave if they hsve any ambition of becoming a football league club.

By the time the Luton and (assuming) Wimbledon fans even get to the stadium they would have forked out £100's on travel, beer, service stops and the tickets. Going to be very expensive for the Luton and Wimbledon fans (if they win).

This is what I was on about. They probably will need to rent Crystal Palace's shitty stadium or something. sick

Actually, doesn't Crystal Palace intend to build a new stadium somewhere? Croydon isn't far from Wimbledon I think. Maybe AFCW can buy the ground in the future.

edit: Doing some research, the real Wimbledon actually played at Selhurst park when it was in the Football League.
