I've done it on and off for years but i've just sorted a proper gym in my garage and started eating properly.

Just wondering if any of you guys do it and how you're getting on?

Just got back into a routine of going to the gym after about 2 months off. Shoulders, Abs and Chest exercises am working on at the moment. Need to find a decent training programme again though, because the one I had last was getting me nowhere. Part of the reason I lost interest.

Haven't been for months. Started off my diet again, but lost interest in it and I'm back to normal. Need to find a way to motivate myself to keep going.

I was going to build a gym like you in my garage but It flopped so I just bought a gym membership. Been going regularly for about 5 months now, going very well.

I do weight training, but not really for mass or bulk, I prefer working on my muscle stamina.

I did back in high school (about 5 years ago).

Used to bench my weight. I would double or triple my weight in leg presses.

Dieted, did lots of cardio but I've never really done any weight training.

I should....it's just about finding the motivation.

About 80% people fall at motivation.
I'm quite lucky, I'm the type of person who can just stick in some headphones and get on with.
I used to be a bit overweight when I was younger as well. And trust me, if you can do that, then you can certainly do the weight training. It doesn't even have to be big heavy weights at the gym. I just bought some cheap vinyl dumbbells from Argos, the heaviest set was like 4.5Kg, I just did those for 6 months 3 times a week, it took about 30 minutes a day. Best thing I ever did to be honest. I put on about 4lbs of muscle just from that.

Do you people really struggle with 5 kg? That's 11 pounds. Do you mean 5 kg on each side of the bar? Because that would translate into a total of around 67 pounds.

Oh I see. I thought you were talking about the bars with weights. I use 15 pound dumbells. So 5kg isn't that bad actually.
