    Any tips on what I can do to get rid of it or just hide the pain.

    I think I've pulled a muscle in my quad.

    It fucking kills to kick a ball with my laces and sprinting hurts aswell.

    I took last week off 11 a side and will probably do the same this weekend.

    The problem is I don't want to stop 5-a-side. We're having a good season and I just don't like missing games.

    How can I play without feeling it?

    You're only going to aggravate it by playing, think you should skip a few games or go see a specialist.

    You could take some drugs. I once pulled my back really badly but we were on tour playing rugby and there wasn't enough people in my position. My mum had some pills for an arthritic knee so I nicked some of them and I couldn't feel it when I played. Hurt so badly afterwards though.

    But you should probably just take some time off, it's only 5 a side.

    That's exactly it though. It's only 5-a-side, it's not as strenuous as a full game so I won't do too much damage.

    I need some really strong painkillers.

    I smoked a joint before playing last week thinking it would help but I could only focus on the pain in my leg and it was worse Laughing Confused

    Lol I have the exact same injury right now, did it at the weekend playing this sex-position game at a house party. Bent my leg too quickly after being static for a long time and it just went Laughing

    I remember when I used to play football, this type of injury would actually take a while. You just need to stop playing until it doesn't hurt anymore basically. Worse thing you can do is run or kick a ball and make it worse Neutral

    Fact is, I'm not gonna sit in my house while others are out playing football.

    I know exactly what you mean there. It's as if you feel you can't miss a game while the lads are playing, totally natural. But, but, fact is, if you don't rest it, it'll be worse in the long run and you'll damage it.

    Sometimes you've just got to bite the rope and rest. Worst thing going like, but you have to do it.

    Basically if you don't sit out, you'll have the injury for longer. Do you want that? No. So grin and bear it. Play fifa or argue with people on here.

    Take a two week break, if you can.

    I had reoccurring leg problems, and it just makes it worse.

    In three season, I missed 1 season with injuries over the three years.

    The best way is to run really, really fast for about half an hour each day, it'll hurt, but it'll let you build up resistance to pain. The important thing is to fight through it.
