No doubt Eto'o is the best.

he is so perfect, maybe he is very egotistic but this is what makes him so great he knows hes good and demands respect i like that in players
is also probably one of the biggest 'big game' players ever, how many others have done what he has in the biggest games. i can think of ronaldo, zidane, cannvaro, lampard etc who constantly made brilliance performances in the most important times but etoo does it all the time! hes a magician,w henever barcelona needed him he was there and is the same with internazionale when he singlehandedly won them the games against bayern last the other day and who can forget his inspriational performance on the wing against barca last season, he plays with big heart and desire and will play in any position for the team like a boss

i think essien is world class but has not being good form for many months in my opinion i think this may being permanent as the injuries may have doing to muchd amage to him and may never be as good as he use to be plus even in saying that i think essien was never quite same level as etoo anyways, only drogba for 1-2 seasons but after that etoo stands alone but this is just my opinion
weah is a beast one of my favorite players ever i even have a signed program by him but i think etoo has surpass him

'Cause winning two CL titles back to back and being an elite striker in La Liga and Serie A isn't enough right?

Nope. Only time a CL trophy counts is when you win it on English soil, scoring 10 goals in each game played against the English teams. You also most knock out all 4 English sides for your victory to be legitimized.

Hm...have to agree. After all, only English teams are legitimate.

Jay Jay Okocha was a world class footballer, his techique was out of this world. I don't know why he didn't play for bigger clubs because he certainly could have. I remember watching old match on video when him and kanu ripped Brazil into pieces in the Olympics.

He was being sarcastic.
Sami is undoubtedly the best African player ATM and has a legitimate claim to being the best striker in the world as well.

Eto'o was just behind Thierry Henry when Henry was the best striker in the world. Drogba at his peak and Eto'o at his peak, I'd say Eto'o was and is the better striker out of the 2 of them. Eto'o would excel in the EPL imo.
Some say David Villa is better than Eto'o, but I believe Eto'o is the all round better player. Faster, stronger, more of a team player than Villa (Although Villa is a good team player himself) and more.
Eto'o > Any striker imo.

Eto'o is the best African ever imo too.
Couldn't believe Barca got rid of him for Ibra and 45 Million Euros. He's streets ahead of Ibra
