This is an interesting tournament going on in Africa right now. It is a little like the African Cup of Nations but with one huge difference. This tournament is only open to players that play in their own country's domestic league rather than playing abroad. Since these leagues are usually poorer in quality they rarely get into the regular national side. I think something like this would be rather interesting and could be done in every continent other than Europe. Could this improve the quality of football in these nations? I am not sure but it is worthwhile to try it.

Is there a stream to watch the games?
Plus, either SA or Egypt to win.

Are South Africa in this? Hopefully Tshabalala does well, he's coming to Forest in the summer
And what's Ghana's squad like? I swear they were the only team at the World Cup to not have one single player who plays in the countries domestic league? Either them or Ivory Coast, not too sure which one.

This tournament may also strengthen their domestic leagues.

Re: African Nations Championship
Tunisia won in the final today 3-0 against Angola. Egypt isn't taking part and didn't take part in the inaugural tournament as well. They thought of sending the U20 team in the last tournament, but didn't end up doing it.
The tournament had a good idea, but it doesn't seem to work out that well. Clubs don't want an additional month break every year.
