Thing is, Americans actually like them... I've got a mate I talk to on Xbox who's obsessed with the Office USA, bet he's never even seen the real one. Neutral

The US Office is funny. Have you guys even seen any episodes, or are you just hating based on the English one?

US Office is better than English one.

But I agree, we gotta stop remaking English shizz. Most ideas are based on British humor which we Americans don't get as well.

Yah we do when discussing shit with foreigners. But not as in 'American' but as in 'North America'.

Because Canada and USA is very similar. Many things that apply to us apply to them and vice versa. It'd be confusing otherwise.

Nobody really calls themselves "North American" in any event. But she did call herself "American" full stop. Suspect. eek

The only reason I'm inclined to believe her is that nobody who isn't Canadian would purport to be. Razz

I'm not sure I've ever heard a Canuck call himself "North American." But I do know this: you are the first Canuck whom I've seen refer to herself as plain old "American." That's for sure.

It's not really a big deal if both parties understand the context it was used in.

I wouldn't call myself American as in USA-ian. Not ever. Laughing

Plus it's not uncommon. Everywhere south of Texas refers to themselves as Americans as well. Laughing

Der fuck they do. Suspect Have you ever heard a Columbian refer to himself as an "American"? The only people who routinely refer to themselves as Americans are United States of Americans. Anybody else would be sure to stress the "North" or "South" if they were referring to their continentality.
