Der fuck they do. Have you ever heard a Columbian refer to himself as an "American"? The only people who routinely refer to themselves as Americans are United States of Americans. Anybody else would be sure to stress the "North" or "South" if they were referring to their continentality.

Yes I have all the time. I live in one of them countries.
